West Ham United won promotion to The OBBA North Conference by winning the northern premier league, beating league favourites and rival team the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=503834">Skar Bay Sharks FC</a> by 1 point.

The Sharks where the favourites to win the league from the beginning but the West Ham boys managed to keep up with them all season, resulting in the season title being decided with the final game off the season.

With the United lads trailing the Sharks by 2 points, they needed to win the final game off the season and needed the Sharks to lose. Luckily the final game off the season was West Ham Vs Skar Bay Sharks FC so all the united boys needed to do was beat the sharks and the season, the cup and guaranteed promotion to the OBBA was there’s.

With 97,000 screaming fans in the stands the game look set to be a thriller, with the cup on the line you would expect nothing less. Unfortunately for the Skar Bay Sharks they had mechanical troubles with their coach and never made it to the game so the Hammers won the tital bye 1 point and the Sharks FC were forced to enter the play-offs in order to gain the other promotion slot.

The Sharks blame the hammers for sabotaging there coach and winning the league under false pretences. The official statement made by <a href="http://fumbbl.com/~Shades_SteelFist">Shades_SteelFist</a> (Head coach and necromancer of West ham) reads as follows;

"It was unfortunate that the Sharks had mechanical problems and had to miss the game, we at West ham where gutted we didn’t get the chance to beat them for real and had to send the fans home without a show. And the fact that they accused us off sabotage just shows the true colours of <a href="http://fumbbl.com/~darkwing2k6"> darkwing </a> (Head coach off the sharks)"

Shades_SteelFist brushed off the comment as to why he had spent half the team’s funds to hire all available coaches, Cabs and all other available forms of transport available for the day by saying;

"It was a big match and I wanted all my staff (A grand total of 3976 people claimed to be Hammers staff that day Including 72 gourmet Halfling cooks, 58 cheerleaders, 36 security guards, 15 hookers and 1 experimental cloned sheep) to be at the game as they had all played there part in getting us into a winning position. The fact that the Sharks FC were unable to book alternative transport when there coach broke down was an unfortunate coincidence and I regret that darkwing and the Sharks still accuse us of foul play to this day"

The fact that the sharks easily won the playoffs and gained promotion to the OBBA north conference dose nothing to subdue the Sharks FC hatred of the hammers and Skar Bay Sharks FC and West Ham Unitdead have been bitter rival ever since.
