<i>Throughout the years, many people had tried to make themselves well known, many had gone to extreme lengths to get there time in the spotlight, but many fell by the wasteside, many just couldnt make it to be what they wanted.

One such name came in the form of a dark elf warrior, Vasanta. He had spent a good part of his life fighting alongside his brothers and the cold one's they rode, but it was never enough for him, all the fighting was not enough to quell vasanta's thirst for somthing bigger, somthing that the forces simply could not supply him.

Now vasanta had always been a keen bloodbowl fan, the idea of sanctioned violence in a confined space suited his style perfectly, but again even on the pitch, he was reduced only to a reserve player, bought on only when totally needed, somthing which had caused no end of arguments.

One day however, vasanta stood against it all, he confronted his commander demanding to know why he was only a soldier, it was a common fact he did more killing than anyone else around him, so why not become somthing more? however in hindsight standing up to him was not a smart plan.

Vasanta was thrown out of the forces, his family disgraced, and his dreams in tatters, everything fell apart in his face, but what could he do, no power meant no chance in this world, so he gave up and retired to a life of poor jobs, making ends meet as often as he could.

3 Years later on and vasanta was still going strong, still making the most of what little he could, but on one fateful day, somthing changed, one thing that rivalled any chance he could have ever hoped for. A bloodbowl tournament had started, one that was larger than any assembled, during the matches he realised that the skills he possesed were far greater than any on display at the time, which made the next moment all the sweeter.

He noticed a leaflet on the floor beside his seat simply reading "Applications for 2509 season now taken". That was the moment it hit him. Vasanta, captian of his own champion team, finally given the chance to prove his worth to the world, and finally put his name in lights...well, what other excuse do you need?</i>
