| When you think of orcs, you think badass. Vicious, ruthless, armored killing machines who crave the blood of their enemies as much, if not more, than the other prizes of Blood Bowl - touchdowns, completions, even victories. Bloodthirsty monsters who make you feel scared just because you know they exist. And make no mistake, those kind of orcs are real. So, so, very real. But those aren't the only kind of orcs there are. How do you think the vicious orcs you all know and fear came to be? Were they born that way? Generally, yes. But they learned viciousness as well. You see, there are some orcs who love Blood Bowl for the strategy, the stats - orcs who actually see the game as a thrilling combination of strength, skill, and strategy, and who crave the opportunity to pit their bodies and wits against the finest athletes the world has to offer. As you can imagine, Orc High School was pretty much hell for these guys. Known among their kind as D'orcs, they banded together, forming their own Blood Bowl squad. Other Orc teams wanted nothing to do with D'orc players, no matter how talented. (After all, if you're in it for the blood and guts, you're only going to be able to listen to a guy discuss the value of pulling a blocker to strengthen your pass protection without sticking a pitchfork in him for so long.) So, from the fires of Orcish ridicule, the Gamer D'orcs take the Blood Bowl pitch, seeking to prove their worth, and earn fame, fortune, and maybe, just maybe, some hot orc chicks down the road? Let's not be crazy here. First and foremost, they are D'orcs, and D'orcs simply don't get the girl. Second, and more important, there are no hot orc chicks. None. |
