Aint but a 'Flings first match was anything but hopeful as they prepared for the game eating what may have been their last meal. The only team willing to waste their time playing a lowly team of halfings was a group of slobbering tentacle monsters. Though the 'Flings put up quite fight despite their size and rapidly depleting playerbase, their tenacity and refusal to quit just wouldn't save the game for them. 3 of the teams players were carted off to be buried that evening, with another two barely hanging on. Still, 2-1 with a kill and a casualty to their name wasn't a horrible way to kick off their seasons.

Nursing their wounds the 'Flings were approached by a human team also suffering from some serious injuries in their last match. With both teams only fielding 10 players each at the start things were sure to be interesting. All in all, this was a much better game for the 'Flings as every player managed to make it to the aftergame feast, though two of them needed help chewing. The 'Flings seem to finally be getting their aerial tactics down with two well placed throws that didn't end in serious injury. With the addition of two new members, next game they'll actually have a replacement player. Things are looking better for the 'Flings.

After a relatively harmless game against a team of battered Wood Elves the 'Flings are looking at themselves as in a slightly better light. Though they still lost, it was a much closer game than any other they've played. They were mere feet away from a touchdown before the buzzer for the 1st half which would have tied the game in the end. No lasting inuries or kills make this a bonafied win in their coaches eyes though. There's always next time!

Another game against the chaos spawn of Nurggle left the 'Flingers mourning for two of their players. First a fellow halfling fell to a charging beastman, but they managed to get revenge upon him through the Mighty Will Lo'Krush. Unfortunatly, after snapping the neck of the offending beastman, the other wild animals ganged up and tore him apart while he was lying on the pitch struggling to stand. The game ended at a score of 1-0, and once again the 'Flingers are nursing a team full of injuries. In addition to the deaths, marri Fulltoss had her collarbone snapped practically in two. She now sits on the bench trying to keep her team ready for their future matches.

The team finally managed to learn a few tricks after all that time on the pitch during this last game. The high elves had quite a few turnovers due to one of their dragon-blitzer guys always looking over toward the halfing feast that was cooking. The 'Flings managed to capitalize on their blunders for the first touchdown after stealing the ball away, but couldn't ever keep their footing long enough for a second. Two of their players are out for the next game nursing their wounds, but a third has permenantly joined the sideline as a coach after a shattered knee that the doc's say just won't go away. The game ended up with a score of 1-2, but again...no deaths...always a good thing.

The 'Flings came out of yet another bloody match. 2 halflings will never feel the pitch, or taste another meal again. Unfortuntaly, both of the deaths were by some of the few players who were managing to really get into the game and improve themselves. Apparently the violent fans at this match loved the tenacity the 'Flings trudged on with, and the carnage that's promised to show at every game. Their support, and the teams new Treeman finally figuring out how to block the smaller creatures blows have conviced the coach to keep at it and keep trying. It's all they can hope for to keep being given that opportunity. the game did end at a record 2 touchdowns for the 'Flings though, and 4 for the Skaven. After the match, both coaches shook hands (albeit firmly and with bloody, bloody tears) and congratulated each other on their respective accomplishments.

A quick pick up game against...Orcs, of all races left the 'Flingers a little battered but in realitvely good shape. There are some injuries which won't ever heal right to be contended with, but at least they can still sit down for supper. The score ended 1-2 as the 'Flings battled and flung their way across the field, injuring themselves more often than the orcs did.

The next game was designed to be a breather of sorts against an equally bashed up team of Elves. Only on halfling won't be playing anymore, but their new Assistant Coach Nicko Highdrop was ready to quit the field after his shattered leg anyway...the spintere collar bone simply sinched the decision. The score was a travesty, at 4-0 with the 'Flings at the loss of course. But considering only Nicko suffered any lasting inuries, their next match might actually prove a challenge for the opponent.

Allthough an untimely virus kept the three niggled players off the pitch, the'Flings last game wasn't horrible. Considering they were playing wood elves, keeping them to only scoring a single touchdown was an impressive feat for them. Even more impressive, never once did a 'Fling get Flung, which is very uncharacteristic of the teams play style. Sure, in the last 5 seconds that was the plan, but the rainy weather stopped the play before the tree even knew it had started. With the windfall from this gain, the 'Flings were able to hire on 3 new players. With the benches filled with fellow 'Flings, Dashknuckle decided he'd be of better use assisting from the lines, rather than risk his inured leg being a hinderance again. A score of 1-0, was still considered a win as every single player made it out without any lasting effects!!!

We WON!!! 2-1 the 'Flings finally managed to scrape out a victory. This 10th game marks a milestone and plethora of achievments. this was the second cassualty inflicted by a halfling, which taught the aggressor that he should learn how to sidestep lest he be the one in the injury box. A pair of other halflings also started to improve, each of them made one of the two touchdowns this game. Saddly, Perin Tallkick bit the dust due to a rampaging beastmen. Maybe if his leg wasn't still splintering, he could have dodged out of the way. The team ate their first victory meal in his honor after the game.

The 11th game wasn't so spectacular. Though there was a picture perfect high flying touchdown involved, and a near death defying blitz with a ball steal and sprint down the field. We say near death defying, because though the carrier managed to blitz and dodge his way through a sea of angry orcs....Brenn was too busy looking behind him and broke his neck falling in the mud. A somber feast was held in his name, as a testament to the defiance of of the 'Flings!

The 'Flings faced off against a team of visiting highelves today. The elves mustve been really hungry, because the smells from the cookpot kept them bumbling all through the first half. Enough so to allow a mob of little halflings to invade their backfield and literally wrestle the ball away from their thrower and into the endzone. The elves made a good comeback effort, but slippery hands and drooling mouthers kept the score 1-0 at the end of the half. On their return, the ball landed neatly into the waiting arms of a 'Flinger, and it was smooth sailing...through the air right into the endzone for a quick 1 turn touchdown. The elves mustve gotten a quick bite during the half, because their attention was on nothing but the ball this go-around as they tied up the score 2-2 with some fancy elfball.
