Fooble was once a great Archmage, the likes of which the Old World had seen at least a few times before. In death however, it came to be that he was not to be released into the warm and fuzzy pillow-like state of the afterworld, but rather raised into the terrible and quite itchy state of undeath. Fooble toyed with many demonic powers in his time and it was these powers that did not bring him back to serve them. There was a great and powerful Undead Lich King however who was present at the epic time of Fooble's demise, and it was this mighty Lord of death that had nothing to do with Fooble's raising. In fact no-one really has any idea why Fooble didn't just stay dead like everyone else, but he isn't complaining as apart from the fact that he has a mild problem when exfoliating, he considers it quite a good deal.

Fooble had always been interested in necromancy and now that he had some first-hand experience he thought it the ideal time to begin his new career. His first effort at raising and controlling undead minions was the team Spanky, which after merely one game crumbled to dust as Fooble was momentarily distracted by a cute litte puppy. Fooble then realised that more concentration was required, and so the imaginatively named Spanky II was raised to serve the mildly terrible Fooble's quite normal schemes.
