I love you guys. I pray for you guys. I believe and trust in Jesus as my Lord, God and Saviour, and I want you all to share this! Hence this team. God is a loving and a just ruler. His justice means that he cannot have any wrongness in his presence. This is a problem if we want to live with him forever in a perfect world, as there is no way we can be perfect (try it - go on!). However, God's love meant that he was willing to take human form (Jesus) and die on the cross, united with all those who love and trust him, paying the price for the bad things and giving his perfection to those he is with. Why do we need to believe? Can't God lavish his perfection on everyone regardless of belief? No, as it is through union with Jesus in a trusting, acting faith. Kind of like me offering you a game and if you ignore me or reject me then the game won't happen. But if you say "sure, omw" then we have a fun filled 90mins. Did you do anything amazing to get this game? No, (Christer and Kalimar and lots of others did) you just clicked 'play'. But if you had ignored me then you would have had no game. Not a perfect analogy, to be honest, but reasonable. If you ignore God you don't get his gift! So, Repent! Jesus is Lord! (It's great - trust me!) |
