Somewhere in the Old World the High Elves have a prison. Once upon a time it was a glorious city. It is said that the Lords of this city offended the High King and lo, did that king bring war down upon them. The War raged for years and in the end the city fell to the High Elves. So great was the King's wrath that the wizards of the court gathered and cast a great ritual to curse the city.

The spell they cast took a year and a day to complete and when it was finally done a great mist of forgetting fell upon the city. From that day forward No one living, dead, immortal or undead could remember the name or the location of the city. And any who came there could never leave and no one save the High Elves could come or go from this place.

The Elves have made it a great prison. It is the place of Forgetting. The Oubliette. Now they throw the greatest criminals, the most vile chaos spawn, and their most dangerous enemies into the Oubliette. When they go there, they never come back.

Until NOW! Every prison needs a warden and the Warden of the Oubliette just happens to love Blood Bowl! So what would anyone who loves Blood Bowl and has access to the Old World's most dangerous, evil and volatile felons do? That's right! He held try outs and promised them full pardons if they can win the Blood Bowl.

So now the Chain Gang is here. They are an unlovable band of misfits unified by their desire to earn a pardon. They don't like Blood Bowl. They don't like each other. And they don't like you. But they do want to get out of that Gods-cursed prison.
