TEAM REPORT AFTER LUMBURGH CUP POOL PLAY-

After the completion of pool play in the Lumburgh Cup Slitherpool was disappointed to finish third outside of the Cup Final. However, when tournament sponsors decided to make it a Semi-final tournament with 4 teams qualifying for the post-season life was shot back into the team and rightly so their final game of the season was by far their best vs. Corpsatron Rex and that is the team they will match-up with in the 2-3 game in the tournament. Here's the team report card after up to now.

OFFENSE: B+

Slitherpool had a few mis-steps, being shutout vs. Rotting Hot Mess and losing to Ironbeard Clanmen when only one more step was needed by LUCKY to get the 2-2 tie. However, a 4 score result to end the season and a tie for 12 TD's in the eight game tournament is more than solid it is fantastic. This grade reflects very good performance with still a little room for improvement.

DEFENSE: C+

There has been some improvement in the team's defensive efforts as of late. The addition of DESPERATE REMEDY has built the physicality of this group, but it the improved Saurus contributions that have truely taken this group for mediocre to at least formidable and at times stifling.

LUMBURGH CUP AWARDS AS GIVEN BY THE LIZARDMAN HAZY-SUN JOURNAL:

Here are some of the players who deserve recognition as All-Stars of the 1st Lumburgh Cup Regular season play:

LARS FREDRICKSON (Honor Is All We Know): Despite a difficult team performance Lars put up some great efforts. Not only did he run the ball well and throw some blocks but he also had a completion, two TD's and a Casualty.

HAMSTRUNG HANK (Ironbeard Clansmen): He ran for 161 yards and scored 6 TD's he was ground and pound type ball-carrier that any successful Dwarf team must have to be successful.

DRUNKENHEIMER (Ironbeard Clansmen): This Blitzer got in the endzone (2 TD's) and broke some skulls (2 Cas.) a great player for his team.

LUCKY (Slitherpool): Despite being mostly a one-way player he ran for 133 yards and scored 6 times, including the league's only TD hat trick.

KONG (Corpsatron Rex): 66 Blocks and 5 Casualties this guy was the biggest physical presence in the league.

INSANE GOAT (Rotting Hot Mess): 118 yards on the ground 4 TD's and 27 blocks this Pestigor gave both great offense and timely hitting for his first place club.

PURITY CRUSHER (Rotting Hot Mess): 69 Blocks and 3 casualties made this Nurgle Warrior the leader of the league's best defense bar none.

LUMBURGH CUP MVP - HAMBURGER TIME (Corpsatron Rex): No player in the Lumburgh cup was more versatile then this guy. He ran for 101 yards, scored 4 TD's and had a completion to make him a great offensive threat. He had threw 31 blocks and had three casualties making him a great defensive threat. He just put up great stats for a team that was the runner-up in the regular season.
