Background

Far to the north of the Free Elven Cities, to the west of the Paleskin lands, and beneath the slopes of the Shatterpoint Mountains stand the Skaven cities of Narkashh.

There are four cities in total that make up the region - Blizzin, Grakashh, Tolbek and Kraauna - and each boasts a thriving population of ratmen. While the southern settlements of Blizzin and Tolbek are home to pockets of Dark Elf, Goblin and Orc migrants, Grakashh and Kraauna, the older cities, are filled almost exclusively with Skaven. In the past, these two great cities of Karkashh would go to war, overrunning each other's walls and keeps with hordes of groping, vicious ratwarriors, testing their might through weight of numbers alone.

Then, tragedy struck. A decade ago, on the 200th anniversary of the birth of Uragh, the legendary Skaven nomad both cities claim as their founder, both the king of Grakashh and queen of Kraauna were killed. Attending a cheese-tasting ceremony on the neutral ground of the Aakatar Plains between the cities, a freak accident caused great masses of cheese to be rolled down a hill towards the royal entourages, and both royal families were all but wiped out in the resulting catastrophe of dairy. As the cities have tried to rebuild their shattered political structures, a new and fragile era of peace has been entered into; now, the Daggers are one of several Kraauna teams to take to the field against sides from all over Narkashh. They have won six out of the ten Kraauna Cups, as well as three Narkashh championships, and pride themselves on their passing game.

Having all but conquered their Skaven brethren, and under the rule of Queen Zaemil, an aggressive ruler who is the half-granddaughter twice-removed of the late queen, the Daggers have left their home city, seeking honour and glory against all races.
