| In a bid to gain more money for is ambitious schemes, the grey seer Tikric gathered the meanest and quickest slaverats he could buy from the lower mines of Skavenblight. While hunger and plague killed all but the strongest of them (most of these been former Clan Pestilence members), he tricked some allies of Clan Rigens into giving away worn-out amours and providing basic training for his « promising BloodBowl players ». Knowing his starting team would quickly meet a bloody end in the trap-riddled stadiums of Skavenblight, he sent them out into the Old World under the care of a promising red-furred coach with a strange nickname. With suspicious deals and irregular coaching (including a compulsory warpstone diet and extreme cruelty), this half-insane skaven keeps his team growing and improving at an incredible pace. Some players are suffering from horrible side effects, including niggling mutations, but the lucky ones, blessed by the Horned Rat, are becoming deadly monstruosities. On the pitch, the Vermins are ruthless and vicious, using every dirty tricks and bold plays they can understand from the endless blathering of their coach. They use hard-hitting mutants and superior mobility to create total chaos and terrible bloodshed on the pitch. This great formula and many crushing victories make them quite popular among BloodBowl fans and Skavens alike. Their talented cheerleading team is also marvel to behold. |
