This team's occurrence and history is a construction of the imagination! Or rather, the collective imagination of the three Groot brothers - Broers Groot - The demagogue, Clemens Groot, the agitator, Gillis Groot, and the charlatan, Hermanus van der Heide (Hans Groot). Marienburg notes: "Rocky" relates to the rocks used in the raising of the islands which at one point was prestigious amongst the lords, unions, merchant guilds and rich families in Marienburg. The Groot brothers never saw a real rocky island in their lives, as they never set foot outside the sprawling metropolis, but they were all three magnificant storytellers and charlatans. And they never lived to see their team. However, they wrote four illustrious, ingenious and highly detailed volumes on EVERYTHING needed to "make" and "run" a team. It is said that a mysterious fifth one excists, who knows. Gillis son Gert, inherited the books as the only object of any real value. He had been nothing but a failure - a strugling merchant, who had been subject to sabotage and pressure from the rich guilds. However, the books gave him the inspiration he needed to finally succeed. He build a club, a social club for people who wanted to fight back, who wanted independence from the clutches of the elite. Besides that, it felt so good beating them on the turf as well, because along side the club, a succesfull BB team grew. Dirk, Gerts son governs the club and team now. They have yet to prove themselves outside the City.
