At the School of Kung Phooey, Wise Teacher assembled his finest students. "The coffers are empty. The larder is bare. We shall be forced to disband the school, or starve. But, I have had an epiphany. Our fortunes shall be made in the blood bowl arenas! All of our martial training will be on display for the world! Students will flock once again to my tutelage!" A few naive or half-witted students bought this line of schlock and signed up. A few training sessions and 2 matches later, they began to realize what a terrible, terrible mistake this all had been. But, too late. Wise teacher brooks no cowardice or shirking of duties. It's the pitch, or fall on your sword! In their second match, Wise Teacher himself was nearly slain. Thankfully, he had acquired the services of a lotus-addled sawbones the day previous, who managed to reassemble the bits of his skull and sew him up. But the seeds of doubt (along with a few rocks) had been planted in his brain- had he doomed himself and all his wards to a painful death on the pitch? |
