From the remnants of Har Ganeth, the Brides of Khaine's power grew.
It was not enough for the Hag Queens to acquire sacrifices for the Lord of Murder from the battlefields, they needed more blood. Where could they find it?
They learned of their Druchii brothers playing in the CIBBL and how much precious blood was being spilled, all in the name of a 'sport'. What was this 'Blood Bowl', just the mention of the B-word had the witches foaming at the mouth.

In due course it was understood there were some loose rules whereby a ball was being run from one end of the battlefield to the other. This was supplementary of course and the main aim of the 'game' was to kill and maim as many of your opponents as possible!
