| <P align=left>I was recently able to get this quote from <i>More Brains</i> captain Henry Whittingham IV: Henry: "Well, we're a professional, athletic outfit. Can anyone stop this exciting line-up from dominating every competition they enter? Stay tuned ... Match 1: No completions yet. But we're getting closer: one pass was only one square off target. Match 2: Significant improvement: a completed pass! There was also one other accurate pass (Long) which was dropped. Unfortunately all this led nowhere. Fingers crossed for skills after next game! Match 3: Three - that's <b>three</b> - completed passes, not to mention a magnificent interception. If this trend continues … Also the match after which Gah? unveiled his hidden ball-handling talents: we have a new Quarterback! Match 4: Only one completion this time, but the team managed something they never had before: they came within sight of … the opposition end zone! Once they were one go for it away from scoring! It's just a matter of time now … Match 5: Our faith is rewarded! It took a lot of luck, and some uncharacteristic beating up of elves to get an advantage in numbers, but one way or another Chonk managed to fumble the ball over the line for a touchdown! Our next objective must be a victory (could be tricky …), and then it will time to start aiming for some zombie passing records! Match 6: Tricky? What was tricky? An almighty 2-0 win! Match 7: Not easy to get anywhere against these orcs - not even a completion in this one. Match 8: The zombies out-elf some elves! Match 9: Out-played by fellow Zombies - the shame. :( <P align=centre>-- NB: The Skeletons on the roster only exist because I am annoyingly limited to 0-12 Zombies. They will never appear on the pitch unless I am short of Zombies, and will only move a base 4 squares when they do. Should they go for it, they will thus get their first square for free (but won't take an 'impossible' third (to move seven squares)). |
