After centuries of running around as a minor, insignificent warband in the Chaos wastes, the group known as the 'Hand of Azekel', deciding that they would never attain favour from the Dark Gods by the occasional skirmish decided to go south and commence raiding, hoping to attrach others to their dark cause. However, not too long after they entered the icy realm of Kislev did they discover a local Bloodbowl Tourney commencing. Intrieged, they signed up, but not wanting their real identity to be placed in the games renamed themselves the 'Mailed Fist of Acheron'. Taking the rather unaware teams involved by total suprise (Who were primarily farmhands and washed-out Bloodbowl players), they punched, brawled, slashed, hammered, maimed and butchered their way through the entire left bracket, and won the Kislev Steppes cup almost single-handedly. Needless to say, they quit their raiding ever since, deciding that Bloodbowl was certainly one way to win reconnition from the dark powers, without the unnecessary hiding and fleeing from anyone too powerful for them to handle.... News: Blood Gor, the Team's Kicker was slain during his tenth match against the Necromantic Dark Lords of the Mist. Needless to say, the rest of his team gave the ghastly group a wholoping to compensate. However, it doesn't end badly, for now he has started what should hopefully be a fulfiling career as a Zombie within their ranks. To quote from Yanlor, Team Blitzer and Linemen and also a dedicated warrior of the Chaos Gods: 'The stupid bastard decided he wanted some action in the first half. We tried to tell him he was needed to kick for us later, but NOOOO!!! he HAD to go out there. I reckon Khorne gave him what that fool deserved. Still, we'll miss him, if only because he could kick the barkeep of the nearest tavern we alreadys raid after a match so hard he's groaning on the floor for five hours, whilst we make off with his booze!' News (30.09.2004) During a Heated match against a fellow group of Chaos, the Invincible Slaughtermen of Ris the Fists made a suprise record today, decking a total of three badly injuries, two from Emerging start Yanlor. "Well, the bastards wanted some, so i gave it 'em!!" Yanlor was quoted as saying after the match. In apreciation of his efforts, it appears that now he has become increasingly faster with the lengthening and strengthening of his legs, a boon from the dark gods! However, the fact that the Blitzer now has to shave them almost every day is something that makes you wonder if they have a sense of humour. "He's very vain..." 'Ole One Eye, the team's kicker said casually in his British accent. After every match the minute he gets into the changing rooms he's asking 'Do i look beaten up? What about this black eye? How the f**k am i supposed to pull the ladies when i look like Marilin Manson??" I reckon in light of his recent successes our Gods decided to play a double one on him. Mind you, we all now call him 'Fluffy..' fortunately last time, Goat Path managed to tackle him before he could break my other leg..." It would be important to note that, although this kicker is still in fine shape, that his right leg has been bolted to a long peice of wood.. However, victory was taken from the group, when the Slaughtermen managed to score a last minute touch down in the closing stages of the match.
