Born in a small village upon the river Reik near Altdorf, Fritz Reikholz never stayed long at one place. His family were travelling people. He had visited almost all cities of the empire when he has become a matured man. <br/>
While he observed that knaves and scoundrels among the travelling people collected more wealth than the honest ones, like his parents, he became more and more greedy. So he learned the "art of card shaping" and became a faily successful gambler. <br/>
When he took the lead of the group he attracted even more desperados from every dark corner of the empire.
Some of them got to know the cells of several imperial prisons, but somehow Reikholz' ability to persuade the judges kept them from the worst.<br/>
The Vagabond Gamblers were founded on a gathering with his bunch of charlatans, bandsmen, gamblers and artists where Fritz Reikholz got the brilliant idea of making even more money than with their previous professions. The arenas of the old world would be the right place for it.
