Snargil, Bardir, Rex & Hanash were 4 young Dwarves, all just having seen there 70th spring and together they had become quite the talk of the encampment! For their skills on the local StreetBowl scene were brash, strong and above all graceful, something most Dwarves can only dream of! Their skills and youthful talents had all the old Dwarven women riled up like never before, some even ventured the odd skirt in the crowds to lure the young players but luckily the thick hairs on their legs had the lads thinking they were just some fancy trousers after all! Now, alone they were too few to field a squad in the local leagues but Bardir had a plan. His Father Old Phosphanic was head of the local Sunday Bowler's Club, full of ageing and retired BloodBowlers. They mostly sat a discussed the old times but Old Phosphanic had managed to watch his son play in the encampment often enough to have seen the way the old Dwarven women lusted after them! Old Phosphanic managed to convince the old Dwarves that they too might yet have some life left in them and that they might yet find some comfort in the adoration of the old Dwarven women, who had given up on the Sunday Bowler's Club as full of has-beens. Bardir and Co. thought this arrangement should prove a ragged team but a perfect tapestry for their skills to shine and blossom, maybe they could even be scouted for a real team of BloodBowlers! But till then supported by their crowd of old Dwarven women they shall take on any fair challenge in search of glory for the young players and a comfy ;) retirement for the old! Times have been hard for the Sunday Bowler's a tough game against a Zombie horde left Snargil's body ravaged by an angry crowd. Salt was rubbed in the wound as his fallen body rose again to fight back against those he once called friends. He will be sorely missed as a founder of the club but his brother Kevorn "Steel Fist" has sworn to avenge his death many times over on the BB field! It would appear that the Bowler's have an unfortunate relationship with the undead as yet another young hopeful Nucleo "Ring Opener", a brave (if a little crazy) dwarf spent his 3rd game battling hard against a mummy, countlessly he knocked it down hard. Only for it to rise again and again! Then in the dying minutes that same mummy spelt his doom. Not even the teams apothecary could reverse the damage but it proved an easy task for the undead's necromancer! Yet another brother is lost to these evils, he will be sorely missed and may there now be a sworn oath amongst the remaining Bowler's to wipe these undead scum from the Bloodbowl pitch! |
