| <b>Founded:</b> 20th August 2505 The Cold Peak Warphunters were formerly known as Cold Peak Wanderers, and were predominately an amateur Blood Bowl team, there is a wealth of willing players deep under the Cold Peak mountain but the lack of any organisation (anyone who tried to organise anything was either beaten up or fed to the Trolls!) prevented the team participating in any professional leagues. The only “serious” competition the Wanderers have participated in is the Cold Peak Annual Challenge Cup, the other team that contested this highly sought after cup was a Goblin team, the Skitcrig Snivellers. (Reports are circulating that the cup was actually a festering skull of a Stone Troll, but no evidence of this has been produced, but it had sentimental value, not least to the next of kin who wanted the skull back! But that’s a different story…) The Snivellers were possibly one of the worst Blood Bowl teams to ever take to the pitch, trivia fans will remember the 4-0 <i>mauling</i> that the Halfling team, The Bluebay Crammers, inflicted on them in 2458 to celebrate the opening of a new village bakery. The visiting fans were not amused (in this case, two Trolls) and proceeded to wreak havoc amongst the home crowd post match, killing 57 Halflings. What resulted was the NAF record number of <I>***Most home spectators eaten at a match by visiting fans***</I> ! The Wanderers and the Snivellers joined ranks for a brief season (2497) as “Cold Peak United” in a vain attempt to play in the professional leagues but the team lost every match that season as the Goblins and the Skaven couldn’t agree on match tactics, and most were in the KO box before the match had begun! The Head Coach (unimportant, as he was dead before anyone knew his name) decided the teams go their separate ways. The team reformed again in 2505 but they changed to the present name of the “Cold Peak Warphunters” due to their lust for Warpstone and the hideous mutations that it caused, and hired a new coach, Skitter Four-Knives (whose night job is an assassin). He managed to drill some organisation into the team, (mainly by killing the troublemakers during the night!) and the team has since gained NAF approval and can now play in the professional leagues across the Old World, where prizemoney and more Warpstone await them… <b><u>Player Awards</u></b> *** <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=2210321'>"Race" O Bunyon</a> scored a miraculous touchdown on his <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=881707'>debut</a> making some impossible dodges after the rest of the team failed to notice the half was already over!!! "Race" was awarded the Ratdidas <i>Self made TD of the Week</i> for the suicidal run for his first competitive touchdown*** ***In only his <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=882656">second match</a>, <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=2210325'>Rasta Tailspike</a> became an instant fan favourite by scoring a hat-trick in front of the home fans, despite the Wanderers having 4 players off the field receiving treatment! His reward was a binful of “slightly off” fish*** *** <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=2210324'>Scrag the unclean</a> was the first team member to mutate under the new team name. He found it after a <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=886730'>mauling over the Buckleberry Buccaneers</a>, on the corpse of <a href='http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=2251219'>Grim Shaftplitter</a>. Rumours are circulating that the warpstone had no effect on 'Grim'. Nonetheless, Scrag, ate the stone, not thinking about the concequences, and as a result, his head swelled twice the size and is now covered with (even more) blisters!
