The Terminatio team competes in the <b>Tortleys Super League</b>, and after their first game found themselves winners... and losers. <b>Jujjmunt Dayve</b> was nailed by an over eagre Ogre, but luckily the apothecary was able to revive him before he expired completely. So he got up again. And was nailed, again. This time he didn't get up, but despite the team getting bitch slapped by the dice, they went on to win, but would be one man short for the next game... Step up... <b>The Mighty Zug!</b> With a belch and a slam of a tankard on a table, plus the small matter of 60,000 gold pieces in small change in a wheel barrow (almost enough to clear his bar tab for the day) Zug signed up to play for the team for their next game! <b>Griff Oberwald</b> had also been considered, but his fee was, to put it mildy, extortionate, and the team still harbours hopes of getting enough money to improve their luck or perhaps buy a replacement player! So they go into their next game a little more confident, but knowing the cruel hand of Nuffle could, once more, rip their trousers down and bend them over, their screams howling long into the night! That game went well (thx be to Nuffle! Expect the chickens and a few kobolds to be sacrificed tonight mate, and the thick brown envelope stuffed with cash...) with a 3-0 win, might have been more but Nuffle lost interest, then again my opponent could easily have pulled a TD back or two if a little luck (at all) had gone his way. Zug had limited use, so he'll be shelved for the time being, and I hope the dice shine for me again in the next game! Next game against (so far) championship main rivals Human Targets ended 0-0 after a very hard fought battle in which neither coach really had the edge in terms of luck. A draw was a fair result, but I had more chances to win the game, and would have done if not for a ball made of soap! Maybe :P Game against Cheeseheads in the next round was a non-event. The dice pretty much decided the outcome (for me) and made any attempt by Cheeseheads to move up the field pretty null and void, whereas Terminatio ran two td in. 2nd half Terminatio struggled against superior blocking play from Cheeseheadsa and were very lucky to come out of the game only 1 player down. Against the Giants the team pretty much had the run of the ball from the kickoff, with a Blitz, perfect defence several times and the ball falling nice. If only all games were like that!!! 27spp, +Agility, and Dauntless for another (to take on ogres) will hopefully do some good against Championship Leaders The Skywalkers, in the next round :S |
