MMM first made the headlines as a traveling trapeeze troupe, wandering from village to village, hamlet to hamlet, generally striking terror into peasants hearts whereever they tried to put on a show. I mean, lets get real here - 6 foot, toothy lizards arent the most charismatic of creatures. Fed up of being chased out of countless villages by the Emperor's knights they decided that performing just wasnt the profession for them to 'make it big' in.
