My ninth game was my first loss.... it was a wierd game. First turn, blitzed with my Kroxigor. Blitzed a Witch Elf without block, rolled double skull; but that's not the problem. Got an SI, missed the next game from a Concussion. Lost the game on the last turn when I ran out of rerolls and his nimble Dark Elves were able to dodge my saurus and hit my little skinks. I gave him 2 casualties from my own actions leading to hurt players. End of the game, got a second skill for a Saurus, failed ageing roll and got a niggling injury. GGGGRRRRRRR...... very upsetting. 10th game was worse.... played some Humans. They killed my skink and I didn't apoth him because I knew that I would need it later on. Boy was I right, after he Seriously injured a Saurus which misses the next game; he KILLED another one. But alas, apoth failed. First time I used the apoth and it doesn't even work. Again I am in another game without the full squadron of Saurus and my Kroxigor..... Ok, 11th game ended in a tie. I don't know whether to be happy or upset. His orcs broke my Saurus' neck, making him lose -AG and the next game. I didn't apoth him because it was only Miss Next Game and he didn't need the AG. But the fact remains, my 9AV is softer than the other 9AV..... I still do not have a complete team. Out of 11 games, I only had a full squadron of 6 Saurus and my Kroxigor for ONE game. And in that game I lost my Kroxigor on the first turn....... How sad. My 12th game was a little better, even though I suffered 4 Casualties. Luckily my apoth worked this time. I won 2-1, I had to stall one turn, I wasn't proud of it. My Kroxigor got an interception with 2 of the opponents standing in front of him. He also got one Casualty and brought in the winning TD, however he did NOT get MVP. That was messed up, with all his effort, this team was able to pull away with a win. 13th game: My Skink with the ball was knocked down and with the ball fumbling into squares occupied with Humans and Lizards, my Kroxigor was able to come up with the ball. My opponent and I were stunned to see this multi-talented Kroxy able to snatch the ball. His Humans were desperately trying to pry the ball from the Kroxy. With his Lineman, he had to use his Apoth early and decided to concede the game to protect his players. Unfortunetly I failed my ageing roll for my Kroxy, he got a Niggling..... I wished it was a loss in AG, that wouldn't have bothered me as much. 14th game vs Skaven. My Kroxy missed the game because of his Niggling. The game was pretty even in numbers 11 vs 11. My Saurus had a hard time penetrating his 7AV, but his Rats had no problem breaking my Saurus' armor. Again 9AV has to mean something! I was down to 3 Saurus and he picked my lizards apart. With 2 ko'ed and 2 BH, I couldn't muster any kind of offensive or defensive attack. It seems my lizards are soft and they don't want to hurt anyone. I retired Venom, hate that Niggling, I want to keep the Kroxigor around, still mad about the failed ageing roll. I can't keep anyone around for more than their 3rd skill. How sad.... Ok, 15th game. Very lucky for me, I play against a Chaos team that had 3 Chaos Warriors, a Minotuar and several Beastmen. I didn't notice, but he had no apoth! Score was tied 1-1 before going into the half, turn 7 first half. I KILLED his newest Chaos Warrior. On turn 8 I Badly Hurt his other 2 Chaos Warriors! Beginning of the second half, it was no problem defeating his team, I was able to win big and got 3 skills for my Saurus. I was happy. Ok, my 16th game was a tie, which was cool. My opponent was a good coach and he had some luck on his side. I was able to take his Ogre out from a Badly Hurt, My Kroxigor was taking out his Human Linemen with Multiple Block. I got 2 new skills, a Saurus got +AG, but I took Block instead. My Skink with Block also got +AG so I took it!. Happy with the outcome though I tied. Ok, 17th game. I don't think I can say much, things just didn't go well at all. Luckily my opponent was a friend, so he didn't kill all my players. Had a Saurus hurt himself and SI, he misses the next game. 2 more Saurus were ko'ed, they stayed out for the rest of the game. A skink was Badly Hurt and another one was KILLED while Go For It failed twice. Rolled many ones in this game versus Chaos Dwarves, Rerolls did not want to work. From 11 players at the beginning of the game down to 6 by halftime. Very SAD. Bought a Skink and hired a Star to give me 11 players for the next game. After that game, my Saurus will come back. I don't normally get stars, but I wanted to get rid of some money and still have 11 players. 18th game VS Crimson Wave, a Human team. The Humans were lucky to score 3 TD's, I was shocked to see how lucky he was when he was able to throw a long pass with a 3 AG Blitzer. Although the game was tied, I was pleased. My lizards lived and did not suffer any injuries, the Star Player I had, played an important role. He was able to support my other Saurus and take a lot of the beatings. He also managed to score the tying TD. I got 6 Casualties, 3 BH, 1 SI and 2 KILLED. With many SPP awarded, I still did not gain a skill nor did I get a FF. What do I have to do in order to get more Fan Factor!! 19th game was against Skinktacular! A team full of skinks, it was fun yet annoying. His skinks were running around slowing my advance for a TD. I only took out one in the first half, these skinks were tougher than mine. He was able to tie the score in the beginning of the second half. I thought I would have enough time to score the leading TD, but I still have some bad luck. I needed to GFI twice to reach the endzone. First GFI, rolled a one, so I used a reroll, second GFI; rolled a one again. Stunned myself and the ball was sitting in the endzone for his skinks to swoop it up. Luckily he wasnt able to go far with the 4 skinks he had left on the field. Last turn I had placed a skink close enough to the ball and the endzone for him to score. One skink picked up the ball to bring it to my waiting receiver, needed to GFI once. I rolled a one, used a reroll; rolled a one AGAIN! WHAT THE HELL DO I HAVE TO DO!!!! The game was tied, got crappy winnings and only one skill. No Fan Factor, of course. My 20th game was against some Humans, I gave him a handicap and lo', it was Virus. My Kroxigor had to sit the game out, lucky Humans. The game ended up as a tie, but I know I would've won if my Kroxigor didn't miss the game. My TR is a lot higher than my TS. 184/159 I guess I will retire him now that I have enough money to replace him. I will miss you! :-( I also lost a Fan Factor....... 21st game against a Skaven team "All hell breaks loose". It was interesting, we both scored 2 TD quickly in the first half. The second half was strange, I kicked off and he couldn't commit his one turn TD. I thought I had a chance to take the lead and hopefully win. It was not meant to be, I was unable to secure the ball. It looked like it was going to be a tie, but he failed a dodge with his Storm Vermin. I was hoping to secure the ball and heave it to my open skink on the other end. I had to use my last reroll for a failed GFI, in which my pass was inaccurate. He was able to get his Linerat to pick up the ball, he was more lucky than I was. Both teams without a reroll, he had his linerat in the middle of the field with no one to protect him. I was able to get one of my Saurus free to blitz the ballcarrier, if I can knock him down; I would be able to secure the tie. But of course I roll my first and only double skulls, with no rerolls I was forced to knock myself out. He was able to hand the ball off to his Gutter Runner and score the winning TD. I again lost another Fan Factor, it looks like I roll a lot of ones other than in the game. Good news I was able to skill up 4 of my lizards. Final score 2-3. 22nd game against some Chaos. I got lucky for a change, the opponent KILLED a Saurus and apoth succeeded. I was lucky to come out with a win and no deaths. Though my opponent liked to foul, I got REAL lucky. I was left with only 7 Lizards to defend in the second half, he didnt try to score. He sat back with his Chaos Warrior hoping to walk in the TD, I made it hard for his Beastmen and Chaos Warriors to score. I was up 2-1, but he made a mistake. He tried to go around the scrum of Lizards and Beastmen, leaving his Chaos Warrior with the ball open. I was able to blitz him and knock the ball loose. His next turn he blitz with his Chaos Warrior and knocked himself down thus ending his turn. I was able to pick it up and score one final time before the end of the game, ensuring my victory. Final score 3-1. With this victory I was still unable to get a Fan Factor. 23rd game, Accepted a challenge from some Humans, it was tough at first. He had 3 blitzers with guard and a Lineman with 4 ST. It was a classic seesaw battle for much of the first half. I was able to surprise him with my Saurus who were able to catch passes. :-p He was able to score in the beginning of the second half, but with more than enough time to tie it. It proved difficult, he was slowing down my attempts and took out my skinks. I was able to score on the final play with a Saurus who caught the pass and walked right in the endzone. Final score 1-1, no new skills or FF. 24th game, interesting pick. Vs some Ogres, may have been a bad idea. Luckily it was tied, 2-2. I scored two quick TD's in the first half, KILLED a goblin while at it. However the second half was all his, he decimated my team, ko'ing most of my Lizards and gave me a Badly Hurt Skink, A Seriously Injured Skink (Which was a Freebooter) and another Serious Injury to my Saurus (-AV). A rock was thrown at him, I ended up retiring him though. Been having trouble winning since I retired my Enforcer, my Kroxigor.... I wish I could call him out of retirement 25th game, this is sad. A game against amazons, I had taken out some of the little women at first, but I couldnt score because it was pouring rain! It ended as a tie, but I should have won. My last play was a hand off to a skink who was in scoring position, but he couldn't catch the ball! It was normal weather at the time and rolled two ones (Reroll). The same story all the time! Ones! Ones! Ones! Ones! Oh, and I failed an ageing roll for my 3rd skill on my frenzied Saurus. Got a niggler, why couldn't it be a loss of AG! 26th game was vs some Rotters, my 10th win! YAY! I had gotten lucky in the numbers, I took out his strongest Rotter by crowdpushing him and it only Badly Hurt his Rotter. I started taking out some of the Beastmen too, but I could not score at all in the first half. He did stall for a turn or two, but that just meant I was going to hurt more of his players while he waited. I should've scored at least 4 times, but with my luck with the die rolls sucked. It only is bad when I try to get the ball, I roll well for injuries but that's it. I still can not score high, but I did win a Fan Factor for once! Yay! Final score 2-1, scored on the last turn too! First victory in 4 games. 27th game was interesting. Was challenged by an Elf team, he had 16 players which was cool. But the wierd thing was that his Elf team did not act like a traditional elf team. I got 3 INT and 2 TD, 6 CS against him. He had tried to use Dump Off, but I was able to INT the ball. I can tell he was frustrated, but the game had to finish. I got one skill for my super Skink, but he failed his ageing roll. :-( I won 2-0 28th game vs Kelly's Heroes, Humans. Was able to take out most of the Humans and score 2 quick TDs. Sad thing was, on CS against me and it was a KILL against my 9AV Saurus (Apoth worked). I'm worried about their armor.. Final score 2-1 29th game vs Dark Elf. I got lucky to steal away the win, but it was not a great victory. I aged again with a Saurus, making it real hard to keep my team together. It looks like there is another Lizard retiring at an early age. Final score 2-1. 30th game vs Humans (Topper28) It was a tie game 1-1. He Badly Hurt my Kroxigor on his first turn..... Then he fouled my Frenzied Saurus and KILLED him. I didn't apoth because he had a niggling. I could've won, but his luck started to show, with his Humans dodging out of the way toward my skinks. Didn't win enough money to replace the dead Saurus. 31st game, I got raped. A game against some Skaven, lost 1-5. He had a lot of Foul Appearance, only fails on a one.... well, I rolled a lot in this game. He managed to kill my 0 SPP Skink, which was ok. That just means I am down to 10 players now, I was hoping to win enough to get another Saurus. Not going to happen, only won a measly 10K. He only had one Gutter Runner, but that was not the threat for scoring against me. He had several Linerats score the TD's, dodging without the Dodge skill and 3 AG. I couldn't stop them, but I couldn't even get decent rolls. Rolled 5 ones and double skulls in the first turn alone. 32nd game vs Vampires. I got a Handicap, we had the same Team Strength. Both teams had high Team Ratings, but low Team Strength. In the first half all the kickoffs went in his favor, he quickly was able to score 2 times. In the second half I was able to come back to tie it, turn 6: He had the ball close. I was trying to prevent him to score and I messed up bad. He was able to get his lone Vamp to blitz, pick up the ball and score. Final score 2-3, I was happy though I lost. I won enough money to replace a Saurus, but I now have 3 Saurus with no skills. He lost 2 thralls to deaths, one tried to dodge, failed his dodge roll and failed apoth. The second one was eaten by his vampire... |
