Rumour has it, team captain and founder of the team, Cap'n Brinny is on the run from the criminal underworld due to a crippling debt he owes to a mysterious gangland boss. Sounds sinister, doesn't it Jim?"<p>"Without a doubt, Bob. But what better place to get away from it all than travelling the road as part of a Blood Bowl team, surrounding yourself by ten other bulky, brutal Blood Bowl players? We hear Brinny's intentions are to play in the big tournaments this Summer and make his fortune on the Blood Bowl pitch. A noble goal, but one within reach of a team of rookies?"<p>"Only time will tell, Jim although if the games I've seen the DarkCity Devils play so far are anything to go by, their combination of brutal blocking and fancy footwork has met with considerable success and has turned them into a fan favourite in record time. Cap'n Brinny and his fellow Blitzer, Johnny Apocalypse play the running game perfectly, dodging in and out, dashing across the field, receiving Bomber Harris' long passes and generally throwing their weight around the pitch, indeed, Cap'n Brinny sports the kind of right hook one can only in the criminal underworld, one that has already claimed a life and hospitalised another poor opponent."<p>"I sure chuckled in that game, Bob. It's true that the DarkCity Devils' various personalities and skills have worked well together thus far, like a well oiled Steam Tank, but will this gameplay prove as succesful once the DarkCity Devils get to the tournaments and play the big guns of Blood Bowl? Only time will tell Bob, only time will tell....."</i><p><br><b>Players who will be missed...</b><p><b>Dirty McBoner R.I.P</b> - Lineman<br>Killed in the DarkCity Devil's first ever game against the Skaven team, Mort des Glaces by the Stormvermin, Kurts.<br>Despite not actually getting to do much in the game, he was one of DarkCity Devil's founding players and will surely missed. His death at the hands of the Skaven was so entertaining though, by a cruel twist of fate, Dirty McBoner earned the MVP for this match thus making him the highest earner of SPPs for that game out of the entire rest of the team.</center> |
