He sighed. "So, if nothing changes we are out of business by the end of the month?" "Precisely so," Ragnar replied. After a long pause where he had poured himself a big glass of wine Johann said: "So when I inherited the money a few years ago, and asked around for a safe business everyone said: Start an Asylum. Sure, it was a safe bet, since Sigmar knows, there are plenty of loons around." Ragnar nodded. "So, how come our finances are in the red?" Johann asked, not expecting an answer. "And what shall we do to get them in to the black?" Outside there was a sudden racket. Some of the interns wrestled over a dead bird. All of a sudden one of the interns broke free and started running with the trophy stolen from his mates. A third intern standing close to the wall started calling out. "Pass me! I'm open! C'mon! Pass!" The running intern threw the bird through the air, and it was neatly caught. Johann and Ragnar, both struck by the same idea at the same time, stared at each other. "Our own team!" Johann exclaimed. "With our own players!" Ragnar filled in. "Money from sponsors!" "Good PR!" Johann and Ragnar shook hands in mutual understanding. "And of course, if someone accidentily died on the field..." Johann started. "... it's only one less mouth to feed." Ragnar finished. |
