During the Great War against the mighty Chaos leader Archaon and his hords, Hochland was laid to waste. The sacrifice was great, the rebuilding slow and costly. The survivors, people from all walks of life - knight, hunter, merchant, artisan & peasant, struggled to eat let alone live their former comfortable lives. Livestock had disappeared, crops were ruined, trading had ceased and help from Altdorf was sparse and (politely) sporadic. The only option to earn a living for the few fit men left in Hochland was to form a Blood Bowl Team. The lure of gold and a regular meal was too much to resist for these hardy and self-reliant folk. Even the threat of painful and sudden death did not deter the various classes of Hochland uniting and taking to the field once more... |
