| The Half-High Smashers are an attempt to recreate an old team of mine from the first edition of Blood Bowl. Playing State : Currently being played Prefered Game Style : As Blood Bowl Intended Prefered Opponents : Any Open to Ettiquette : Yes Monday - November 13 @ 4.18am The Half High smasher's have had a disasterous debut to the world of Blood Bowl. It was far from an omen of things to come when Maur Duegyth found some stimulants before the match against "Diamond Boyz R Us". Right on the opening Kickoff Maur was struck on the head by a rock, thrown from an overly aggressive fan of the Boyz. He never really regained any momentum and his role in the game could be called minimal... to save some ego. Despite being only 1 touchdown behind the more experienced Boyz at half-time, the Half-High's determination had been Smashed by an opposing Blitzer, Face Chewer. A number of the team have had quite a bit to say about this player, and far from least is Nalric Gimcral; who had his skull fractured by him, and Farthic Boltek, who was saddened by the death of his brother, Dwut, at the hands of the Orc. "All Dwut ever wanted to do was to play the game," Farthic was quoted as saying. The coach of the Smashers also released this in the post-match interview, "He was a promising runner and will be greatly missed, our condolences for his family and friends, but that's the game" Things only got worse for the Half-Highs' as they conceded 2 more touchdowns in the final half. They had a moment of revenge, as Thror Whuvir (a childhood friend of Dwut's) killed Power-Bearer of the opposition. The avenging of his comrade was short-lived, however, as the Boyz' apothecary managed to bring the Black Orc back to his feet. This bought up troubling thoughts around the Smashers base camp, but before anything was officially said upon the lack of a team apothecary, Monty used the proceeds to secure one for HIS boyz. Never will a tragedy like this happen again. Things can only look up for the Smashers, who despite a shattering performance in their debut to the curcuit, are keen to put this disasterous day behind them. |
