| Yearbook Season 32 - Carlton United's Regional League - 3rd position Debut season for the Amazon Queen Penthesilea's Blood Warriors in to the SWL started strangely as I missed the first 2 games as i was away on holiday and was ejected from the league and then reinstated after an appeal to the SWL commissioners. However it meant starting on negative points and 2 games down. But wins against skaven Good, Bad, Furry, ogres Lizard Eaters, draw against dwarven GoldGrabbers INC, win against Nurgle Webcomics Utd and Halflings Soggy Bottom Biscuit Boys meant the Blood Warrior narrowly missed promotion by 1 point only to Laviak's Escape from Wonderland Season 33 - Vanguards Ark Regional League - 5th position Started well with 2 wins against Lizard Redgum's Reptiles, Human Watchmen (SWL) and a draw to high elves SWL Crusaders. But any chance for promotion evaporated after defeats to khemri Frankenpolies and a brutal game with fellow amazon Bunnytown which the Blood Warriors took 8 causalities including the death of Molpadia Death Song, the Strength 5 catcher. Game against GoldGrabbers INC we didn't get to play. Season 34 - Gone's Slipper Conference League - 3rd position Penthesilea's Blood Warriors were promoted to conference due to some reshuffling in the SWL and surprisingly had a good season where they were narrowly pipped to promotion to premier league by REALLY High Elves, Speedballin by 1pt, ironically the Blood Warriors was deducted 1pt when they were unable to sync up and play Human Pope... SMASH! . Also unable to sync up with Chaos dwarf BBQ Wednesday Regulars, while victories over necro Citadel Ancients, high elves REALLY High Elves, Speedballin and orcs Da Brutalist Boyz in Da SWL put us into promotion contention. Unfortunately a game against Khemri from the Dwarf (khemri) which the Warriors while leading midway thru 2nd half needed to be replayed as it crashed and in the end the Warriors were lucky to escape with a draw in the replayed match however the draw allowed REALLY High Elves, Speedballin to leapfrog us and despite the win against Blackwater Blitz the Warriors narrowly missed out. Season 35 - Laviak's Decommisioned Conference League 5th Position Began with an entertaining & rather lucky draw against dark elves Linear Guild Chosen Ones. While outmuscled by OB's Mort Avaritia chaos as his claw,mb, tackle ripped thru the zons and was just outplayed with the death of Xanthippe the Yellow Mare in the game. A resounding 4-1 defeat against a well drilled, experienced & tactically astute skaven German Vermin team and loss two experienced players in Euryleia Woman Wanderer death and Ainia Swiftness niggle in the game meant an early retirement. Echephyle Chief Defender the niggled blitzer was subsequently retired after this match having missed last two games in a row. Game against Orlando Bloom's Groupies unable to play as we missed the deadline and both deducted 1 point. Defeated a weaken lizard Made to Scale team 2-0 after they played OB. While Norscia Bezerkers & Byg F'Orkz both forfeited their games. Disappointing season as we didn't get to play half of our matches. Season 36 - Snakefield Memorial Conference League - 3rd Position Missed our first game with dark elf The Druchii Enlightenment as on holiday. Lost 3-2 in an entertaining game against skaven for 2nd year running against Good, Bad, Furry, who blitz to a 2 TD lead after 4 turns. Won tight & fun match against high elves Agitate 2-1 a game that could have ended either side winning. An efficient win against a weakened Orlando Bloom's Groupies wood elves 3-1. Followed by an impressive and surprising win over Schola chaos with their claws, mb and ag4 beastmen to win 3-1. Unfortunately Nebji's was on holiday and and had to forfeit our game against Worship Before the Fall chaos dwarfs. While Bullockists lizard's Made to Scale also forfeited their match. Another disappointing end to the season same as the last when we couldn't get our last games played. The Blood Warriors has decided to park for the upcoming season. Season 39 - Slumbering Skink Regional - Champions The Blood Warriors returned to SWL after parking for 3 season starting back in the Regional Conference, which meant having to reduce the TR by 50+ and allowing a number of players leave including Orithia Sagillus, Telepyleia Far Sailing, Androdameia the Subduer of Men, Bremusa Raging Female, Molpadia Death Song to meet the TR160 range. The first game against More Rats of Nymh was entertaining and bloody with a total 10 causalities in the match. The skaven team had the early advantage with the causality and the Blood Warriors played much of the game outnumbered until near the end when we grab some late causalities to even the numbers. More Rats of Nymh should have won the game if not for a flukey interception by Antiopeia the archer to stop a certain 2nd TD that scrapped a draw right in the end. Unfortunately Thraso the ag4 catcher aged on her 3rd skill roll with a niggle. We lost a point as our game with Karseldine Krypt Kickers (d.elf) was axed as we wasn't able to play it in time. Warriors played well to beat Belvain Youth Academy dwarf team 2-0. This was followed by 4-0 thrahing of Salary Cap Storm (Norse) causing 2 deaths to their opponents. Then victory against 2 late called substitute opponents Helsings Demise (necro) 2-0 and Pat's Supercoach Spuds (Humans) 2-1 left a final game with Gongoth Gargantuans chaos dwarf to decide the tittle between the top 2 teams. This game turned out to be a classic as initially the Warriors were outgunned by their more powerful opponents as they raced to one nil lead with little players left on the field to oppose them. The Warriors looked done with a lack of numbers Alcippe Powerful Mare the strongest Warrior was killed in the first half tripping over a dodge and the apoth failed to heal her. The Warriors had lost the ball and the CDs driving close to the line for a second TD, however poor marking allowed Zon's to dodge and blitz the ball away from the carrier and a good throw allowed the Warriors to grab the equaliser just before half time. Being short of numbers in 2nd half the Warriors started using the boot which their opponents returned in kind however it was enough to reduce a couple of CDs from the pitch to find enough space and run the ball for a 2nd TD. A resulting kick off ended up near the scrumage line and after the opponent were unable to secure the ball the Warriors were able to turnover the ball and score the deciding and winning third to win 3-1 and the Championship belong to the Warriors. |
