| Clan Rictus of the Crookback Mountain are forever on the fringe of Skaven affairs. With the seats of the Council Of Thirteen hotly contested, Kratch Doomclaw recently returned to Crookback with a puzzled mind. All of the other warlords and seers had been talking animatedly about Blood Bowl. He sent his best spies to find out what all the fuss was about, but the answers he got puzzled him even further. Eventually, one of his slavemasters informed him that a prisoner in the lower mines had been taken from an Orc raiding party who had raided the wrong tunnel. A human that knew all about Blood Bowl. Kratch ordered the human brought to him immediately. The prisoner was of course, the ill-fated and terminally incompetent Jack Hammer, recently coach of the Blackvale Raiders Orc team, until his 'liberation' at the hands of the Skaven. The Riaders were the most recent of a long line of failures for Hammer, but still, he talked a good game and convinced Kratch to let him put together Crookback's very own Blood Bowl team. The team today is a mixed bag, ranging from superb crowd pleasing heroics to general game-losing poor coaching, usually within 5 minutes of each other. Kratch has caught the Blood Bowl bug though, and as long as Hammer can keep the team afloat, it looks like he may keep his limbs. |
