The league now awards one point for every full 10,000 fans in attendance (you know, the "gate") as the new baseline score - the points you get just for playing a match. No more need to compare Team Strengths or worry about the opposing coach's Coach Rating What else has changed? The league has done away with the bonuses awarded for playing in ranked tournaments and against other meta groups. We've tried to reduce the "ranked bias." Otherwise, it's the same scoring system used in the last five seasons. Want in on this season? You have have up until two weeks after the season kicks off to apply to the E.L.F. group page with any elf team in Ranked, Blackbox, League or Faction. After that time, we will only accept brand-new teams or ones that have been otherwise inactive. Anything else that I should keep in mind? Teclis loves an enthusiastic audience. The E.L.F. team that generates the highest Gate in a match during the season will win a special award to display in its bio and will be immortalized in the Hall of Fame! Points Awarded Baseline: Game played= +1 point for every full 10k of gate a match generates. Truncated - no fractional points given. For example, a gate of 76,000 earns 7 baseline points - no score is generated for the 6,000. Result: Win= +10 pts Draw= +5 pts Scoring: Per td scored= +1 pts Per td allowed= -1 pts Casualties: Per cas caused= +1 pts No negative modifier for casualties against - you've already suffered enough!
