| Vatrachaikos was created in order to join the Rookie League XXIII. As the Frogs emerged from their swamp, they encountered [L]Sarg_Surfer_FC. A bloody match against the Necromantic team. Both teams suffered casualties and both Froggiet and Kiss me!!! got a smashed hip. These Undead hit low... Never the less the end result 4-0, made it the perfect start for the frogs of Vatrachaikos and the winnings allowed the team to hire an apothecary. Also Vrekkekeks's great performance, scoring 2 out of 4 of the touchdowns rightfully earned him his first skill! After their first taste of glory, Vatrachaiko's frogs took on the Berzerkers of Tollcross Wolves. Their team had suffered some big losses on their previous take on a nasty chaos team. The field was mostly dominated by the frogs and although Price Charming and Squack got Badly hurt, the frogs flew to a 5-2 Victory. Riib-Riib scored one, Vrekkekeks another, Squaqious one more and Couax-Couax scored 2 impressive touchdowns! So all the catchers skilled up! Freddy was the MVP in 2 out of 2 games so he skilled up as well! After the winning spree Vatrachaikos's frogs met the notorious Cas Bowl, who had been undefeated so far. The game has been very tight and ended in a glorious draw! Couax-Couax scored the only goal, while Vrakkak was crowned the MVP! Unfortunately though the Chaos boys were rough and Vrakkak has broken some ribs while Bob got a smashed ankle and they won't be present in the next game. Onwards and upwards, while more fans start following the team... After the really tough match, Vatrachaikos's frogs stumbled upon the underworld team Dark World Dealings. Nuffle had his eye fixed on the creatures of the dark and the frogs managed to win and collect the valuable points! Vrekkekeks scored 2 TD, and Squaqious and Riib-Riib scored one each. The MVP was Prince Charming. Kiss me!!! had his ankle once again broken and he is really thinking about an early retirement, while he will be watching the next match from the dough-out! The team also got enough money to enroll Vatrachompourbounis the second Blitzer who is going to add a stronger punch in defense. Vatrachaikos's frogs met their match! The cunning little skinks of Lizard Lick Towing managed to find their way around the defenses dodging away from the blitzers who really tried their best! 3-2 as a final result made it an exciting match and the fans will keep on following the team in the effort towards the next opponent! Onwards and Upwards!!! After their defeat, the team took on another chaos team and managed to pull it through! So a victory of 2-1 provided the team with much needed cash! However the victory was overshadowed by the death of Froggiet on the last turn when he was Blitzed by a Beastman... He will be remembered. Good news is that a new Blitzer, Karavatrachis joined the team and he is already working on the team routine drills in order to be ready for his first match! After a long break, the frogs came back energized and took on the halflings of Pithagorus Players. It was a really tough match and Squaqious scored one TD and Riiiib-Riib scored another TD on the last turn that assured the victory! Riiiib-Riib was voted the MVP! The halflings put up a good fight and on the last turn, their fans started a riot which almost costed the game, as the frogs had to put up a very tight defense to prevent any of the flying halfings to score! Onwards and Upwards!!! Boosted by the victory, the team hired Riibit! Who on his first game got some broken ribs, but his sacrifice kept the key players intact, so Riiiib-Riib and Couax-Couax managed to score one TD each against the berzerkers of Morpork Peculiars. The Blizzard on the second half made everything very difficult for both teams, but the frogs felt like kicking and managed to remove a lot of the opposing players and gained the so much needed victory! Next up on the league was Eye of the Maelstrom. The humans had the team cornered from the first turn and a couple of knock outs, forced the team on extreme tackticks and in one turn starting with Vrekkekeks in our End Zone, passing as if there was no tomorrow and a heroic catch by Squaqious, the frogs celebrated their first -and last- TD! Unfortuantely, next turn a rough Blitz by Showboat against Vrekkekeks send him spinning and when the apothecary got to him he announced him dead on the spot. The whole stadium went silent and the team seemed to be totally in shock. The favourite quarterback, who had been instrumental in so many victories, was nothing more than a lifeless mass of bones and squashed flesh... After that everything spiraled downwards, and although everybody tried, every player was getting knocked out after the other and they could not find the strength to return to the pitch where their teammate took his last breath. The steel armour of the Humans was unbreakable and eventually the team met defeat. Now in search for a new catcher, trying to cover a massive gap left behind by the death of one of the Star players, the team stumbled upon Raakit, who although willing, he has a massive burden on his shoulders wearing the strip with number 3. After a lot of practice, the team feels ready to take on the bloodied arenas of the Rookie League XXIII. Vrekkekeks you will be forever remembered! Onwards and Upwards! After the shocking loss against the Eye of the Maelstrom, the frogs played FC Bubu des bois and got their arses handed to them. the elves hit hard and fast braking ribs and jaws on their way and leaving the team not only utterly defeated, but damaged as well! Next game without blitzers seems quite a challenge. One thing is for certain though, the team must train hard because the amount of fummbling just made matters just laughable. Thankfully the fans decided to stick with the team and see it through the tough times! Onwards and upwards! Finally after a series of defeats, Vatrachaikos's frogs managed to pull a very difficult victory against Kraniack Maniacks FC even though the team missed both blitzers! Two TD's scored by Riiib-Riib where barely enough since the game was fought tooth and nail until the very last turn! The second half was really intense, when the Orcs went on the offensive after a quick TD by Riiib-Riib. almost every turn the team managed to get the ball loose and every turn the Orcs would reclaim it and push forward. Last turn found the Orcs just a breath away from the line, where a blitz from Vrakkak got the ball loose and Riiib-Riib managed to claim it and throw it as far away as he could! But the orcs had not said their last word, when Smashy Smashy, the Black Orc managed to run to the ball, pick it up and through an accurate pass! All seemed lost as everybody held their breath when Franc, alhough being marked, leaped in the air and snatched the ball, saving the day and ending up being carried away by the fans in cheers! Of course playing against the Orcs took a toll on the team when Couax-Couax's leg was fractured and he will be missing the next game.Sqaqious totally supported both in offense and defense, playing an instumental role in both TD's and therefore was voted the MVP, although he missed the last turns of the match, trying to recover from a blow by Space marine! After such a game, more fans started following the team and they expect to see more impressive games! After a tough and impressive game, Vatrachaikos's frogs managed one more victory, this time against their neighbors, Blue Lizard Creek. There was much excitement and a lot of close calls, but the frogs managed to prevail! 2 TD's scored by Riiib=Riib, one by Squaqious and a final one by Vatrachobourbounis the team assured the much needed victory and the fans have been very pleased and said that they are going to be around to support the team on the next match. Alas this game took it's toll on the team, when Bob was blocked by Slithering Sid and ended up in the dough-out! The apothecary announced him dead on the spot and said there is nothing he can do do save the heroic lineman. Your memory will be honored, Bob. Still, the teams spirits are high, and Karavatrachis was rightfully voted the MVP, providing much needed support on the crucial defense. Now back to the training fields as the team feels the pressure trying to qualify for the semi-finals! Next opponent was Dark City Dragon Chasers and although it seemed to be a difficult game because Bomber Dribblesnot joined the opposing team and a wizard was in their crowd, the frogs managed to pull another victory! Riiib-Riib and Couax-Couax scored a TD each and led the team to victory. Nevertheless the rats and goblins put up a really tough fight and they deserved the TD. On the last turn Mr.Hand went airborne and everybody held their breath but alas he crushed to the ground next to Raakit who had the ball at that moment. MVP Brikkit was allover the place and although he did not do anything very impressive, he supported brilliantly! After the impressive performance, more fans decided to follow the team on their next game! Now the team feels more ready than ever to take on the next challenge! Onwards and Upwards! So all the efforts of the team led the team to the semi-finals where the frogs stood once again against the wood elves of FC Bubu des bois. The weather was good and the frogs decided to push themselves to the limit and not suffer another crushing defeat by the elves. The game stared with the frogs kicking and a quick steal on the second turn saw Riiib-Riib cross the line holding the ball! Again on the line and almost by the same method Riiib-Riib scored a second TD! But looking back for his team-mate, he saw Squaqious on the pitch laying unmoving... The most trusted supporter and instrigator of both TD's was dead... Nevertheless the team would not repeat the mistakes of the past and the players stood up and got on the line with the only thought in mind to stay ahead on the score and win this game to honor his sacrifice. The rest of the first half, found the team trying to defend and fighting tooth and nail. Briiikit! got a pinched nerve, Prince Charming got some broken ribs, Riiib-Riib got a his jaw broken and Vatrachompourbounis got a gouged eye. But the team managed to hold on and was about to start the second half receiving and being in front by 2 TD's. The second half found just 8 frogs on the pitch. Yet they planned an attack plan which was almost foiled by an almost successful leaping Blitz by Vasy Coco, but he crashed just in front of Couax-Couax! taking advantage of the slip, the team played defensively and managed to delay the upcoming TD for a turn. Eventually Couax-Couax! scored a third TD and the team went on the defensive one more time. The elves having the advantage, pressed hard and seemed to have learned by their mistakes. So the frogs put up a tight defense, killing one of the linemen in the proses! Nevertheless Karavartachis got his neck broken in the proses of defending... But all was not in vain, and the team managed to hold the elves who kept fummbling the ball until the 7th turn when they finally broke through the defense and managed to score. But it was not enough to turn the game and the victory assured the ticket to the final! More fans decided to follow the team on the final, but it seems that it is going to be a hard one, since most of the key players are injured. Nevertheless, the team will recruit the necessary players, in order to try to claim the title of the rookie cup XXIII! Onwards and Upwards! We're almost there! So the long awaited final arrived! And since Cas-Bowl did not show up for the match, Dark World Dealings qualified to claim the elusive victory against the frogs. The chaotic aligned players stood on the pitch full strength, ready to get back on the frogs! The team hired a new Catcher, Coazon and got some support from Cory Palerock, Albert Truehammer, Duane Strongspike and Edward Hideoussnake! The brave volunteers donned their armor and manned the LOS, hopping for the best, trying to do their best without any training whatsoever. Nevertheless their support was invaluable! Still the team was much weaker so the game organizers provided Vatrachaikos with cash to try and balance things out and provide better entertainment. So two blitzers and a wizard where hired for the game and the team entered the arena under the watchful eyes of 26000 spectators! The torrential rain, made the pitch into a slippery place and as the coin was tossed, and Dark World Dealings got to kick first, a huge riot moved the turn counter forwards! As soon as everything calmed down, the frogs attacked from the south, scoring a two-turner with ease in the hands of Couax-Couax! The team went on the defensive, trying to harass the opposition and keep the score in the frog's favor. Unfortunately Freddy was almost killed in the process, but the skilled Apothecary managed to save his life, but his fractured skull won't allow him to participate in the team's next game. Still, all the pressure payed off and the score was kept 1-0. Starting the second half, a rock that came out of nowhere send Edward Hideoussnake knocked out and another small fumbble by the chaos worshipers let the field clear for the wizard to cast his lightning bolt spell on Snoww, but the cunning Dark Elf renegade dodged it with ease! Still the frogs where determined to get to the ball. And so they did! With the big guys refusing to perform, Dark World Dealings had to fight tooth and nail with the frogs for the possession of the ball. Finally, after a lot of pushing and punching and with the ball being incredibly slippery, both teams refused to give way and eventually the referee blew the whistle for the final time! The dream became reality and Vatrachaiko's frogs celebrated a much fought victory and they won the Grand Championship! Excited by the victory, more fans decided to follow the team! Last but not least, Edward Hideoussnake was voted the MVP and was offered a contract with the team! Now the team stands at almost it's full strength and is looking forward to joining the next 145 Open tournament! Hopefully the good results will keep on coming! First game for the Open league and it was a bloody one, with loads of TD's! The rats of Skenefield Scuttlers scoring only 1 turn TD's where unstoppable in offense! But the rats would not be satisfied with just scoring and the resolved into violence! Squack and Vrakkak died on the spot and Edward Hideoussnake got some broken ribs! Nevertheless Couax-Couax managed to score 5 TD's with the help of the whole team behind him and Riiib-Riib's 5 passes, he is the new rising star of the team! Now the manager is on the look for replacements for the missing players as the team prepares for the next game! Second game for the Open league and the frogs stood against the Dwarves of Snowy's Minders. Thankfully the star catcher Quetzal Leap agreed to join the team and the frogs took to the pitch with five catchers! A quick TD by Couax-Couax put the team in front on the score. Then the Dwarves took on the offensive and managed a TD literally grinding their way through the defensive lines! The second half found the frogs defending one more time, but a good kick and a failed pickup gave the opportunity to put the pressure quite deep in the Dwarves territory. After an excruciating standstill Raakit managed to pick up the ball and pass it on to Quetzal Leap who run away with it away from the dwarves reach. A successful pass to Couax-Couax ensured the second TD on round 6 of the second half and gave the Frogs the advantage. The Dwarves pushed hard to get in position for a two turn TD, but the frogs deep end defense and counter attack held them at bay and Couax-Couax managed to steal the ball and pass it safely on to Coazon who ensured to get it out of the Dwarves reach. After the referee blew the whistle, the frogs sprang into cheers, but this victory came at a heavy price, with Riiib-Riib getting a fractured arm and Briikit a broken jaw. The team will have to play without them on the next game, but after the impressive performance, more fans decided to follow the team! Onwards and upwards!!! After a few seasons where the frogs have been trying to get their hands on the elusive open league trophy, they managed it against Lawyers Norse Valpapa and won the 145 open league XXIX! Happy days! |
