Sacred Spawning of Sotek
P [L] Lizardmen

The Sacred Spawning got off to a rough start in their first season when an assistant coach accidentally sent the wrong support request back to Lustria, and received an extra trainer instead of a Kroxigor. With a number of fatalities and crippling injuries in the first few games, they relied on Journeyman far too much - limiting their success somewhat and leading to a number of hard fought draws.

Season 2 saw the team manage a recovery into a full line-up, despite continuing to be pummeled on the pitch, thanks to lucky injury rolls (one game saw 9 CAS received with 8 being BH and the single SI on a Star).

Season 3 was the first in which the Spawning were able to start with and maintain a fairly stable line-up, developing the team with a number of solid skills in the process.

Season 4, and the Sacred Spawning take out their first title (Froster's Conference LV), with a near perfect season (6/0/1). On to Prem!

Season 5 (Prem LVI) saw the Spawning hold on for dear life in their first attempt at Prem, as the bodycount mounted for the first time since season 1. With three deaths including two veteran Saurus, the team barely managed to stay in the Division, holding 4th place after managing to defeat two Legendary teams (Whalekillers and Slumbering Skink) as their only victories for the season.

Season 6 (Prem LVII) was woeful, one of the Spawning's worst, with only one win and a finish at the bottom end of the ladder leading to relegation back to conference to recover and rebuild.

Season 7 saw an excellent start to the season, with no losses or injuries until Game 6 against the Wäŋa Warriors, in which the team suffered the death of a veteran player and two crippling injuries. Regardless, the Spawning still managed to win the conference and moved up to Prem.

Season 8 (Prem LIX) was another poor Prem season. Starting the season with too many inexperienced players, the Spawning had a few decent early games despite the odds, but quickly sunk to the bottom of the ladder as the fatalities mounted and the Saurus lineup continued to languish with multiple Rookies.

Season 9 was another solid conference performance, with an undefeated run (5/2/0). This season saw 2/3 Rookiesaurs learn Block, which puts the Spawning in a slightly better position going into a difficult Prem division.

Season 10 (Prem LXI) started badly, getting pitch cleared in the first game. However, the season overall was reasonable, with the Spawning remaining in contention for the title until the final game loss. Deaths in the last couple of games mean that the next season in conference will include another rebuild.

Season 11 had a good start, with the Spawning on top of the ladder after round 5. An appalling game against the Soylent Greenstars in round 6 led to a severe crippling (five players seriously injured/killed), putting the Spawning out of contention for the title, but still in a prime position to be promoted. The final round saw the Spawning losing their last game and ending up tied on points for second, with two other teams. Luckily tiebreaker meant that they wouldn't be promoted - another season to recover in Conferences.

Season 12 (Prem LXIII), after finishing 4th in Conference, a number of dropouts in Prem led to a surprise promotion. The Spawning thundered through the first four games, winning them all and sitting undefeated at the top of the ladder. However, the fifth and sixth games were dismal losses, and the Spawning needed to win their last game to stay in contention. Despite playing 5 members down for most of the game, they managed to eke out a desperation win in the last couple of turns. The season had taken a heavy toll, however, with 5 deaths sustained, including stalwarts of the team. The casualties were not even worth it in the end - as the Skinks managing to win their last game and take home the title.

Season 13 (Prem LXIV), started well and looked to be a fairly soft season. Although the Spawning remained in contention for the title until the last two games, a combination of being both elfballed and outbashed by elves meant that the season was not to be.

Season 14 was a fairly standard conference season. Some ups and downs, but finally ending up with a full roster of Blockosaurs - albeit with some additional injuries added to the list. The 100th game played by the Spawning ended in a win, placing them 2nd in the conference and likely to be promoted.

Season 15 (Bob BOrc Cup)- an underwhelming tournament, getting knocked out in the first round by Public Service Announcement in overtime.

Season 16... Let's just ignore this one shall we? Final game was a loss to goblins, with only two players left on the pitch at the end - and that wasn't even the season's low point. Getting actually pitch cleared, beaten up by everyone including elves, and generally failing to do pretty much anything of note (despite the roster looking the best it's looked for many seasons) left the Spawning not feeling very Sacred at all.

Season 17 - upcoming.

S5-G7: Nolhitl, Saurus. First opponent block of the game, brutally murdered. Nothing the apoth could do to fix him. RIP.

S6-G1: Nota Rheroll, Kroxigor. Early foul by Mr Shuffles of Crypt-O-Night, brutally murdered. Team took vengeance by killing Mr Shuffles in retaliation. RIP

S7-G6: Lizhua, Elite Saurus. An original member of the team, and had never missed a game until playing against the Wäŋa Warriors. With a sickening thud he fell to the ground after being slammed by a blitzer: brutally murdered. The apothecary couldn't do anything to save him. RIP.

S8-G1: Tlitlach, Rookie Skink. A new member to the team, keen to represent Sotek in Prem - blitzed by frenzied Super Star Off the Wight, outmaneuvered the first blow, but was brutally murdered with the second hit. RIP.

S10-G7: Itzi, Skink. After valiantly holding the ball for most of the half and making many dodges against the odds to get in range of a TD that would tie the game, Itzi was ground into the pitch by a behemoth of a saurus, resulting in a brutal murdering. RIP. Posthumously awarded a place on the Season LXI Prem-Stars team.

S11-G6: Otlmoc, Elite Skink. Murdered brutally by a fouling Rotter at the start of the game, while the apothecary was busy saving a Star Saurus who had almost recently died to the same foot a moment before. RIP.

S12-G5: Axoc, Elite Saurus. The Spawning strongest Saurus, Axos put in many seasons of hard work for the team, before being brutally murdered by one of the Slumbering Skink's Saurus counterparts in a critical Prem game. The apothecary could do nothing to save him. RIP.
S12-G5: Mitli, Skink. Defending the line against a Skink with the ball, Mitli was the second victim of Llstr's rampage and was brutally murdered on the blitz. RIP.

S15-G1: Xolo, Saurus: Tried to punch a Chaos Warrior but ended up brutally murdered after accidentally headbutting a spike. RIP.

HONOURABLE DISCHARGE
Ziquo (22 Games): Very fast Skink, although low stamina meant that when he went out during a game - he stayed out. Some hinted that it may have been fear instead that kept him off the pitch. Eventually fate caught up with him, and he finished his Blood Bowl career after breaking his neck.

"George" Zochitl (13 Games): Ex-Journeyman Skink, hired after an excellent display of persistence. Retrieved the ball from an injured skink, got knocked down, retrieved the ball again, got knocked down again, then retrieved the ball a third time to run in the single Lizard touchdown of the game. Sadly it wasn't enough to save the game, when the rest of the team was butchered with 8-0 casualties. Retired with a smashed hip.

"Duane" Hextoc (18 Games): Ex-Journeyman Skink, hired after receiving MVP for a stellar performance against the Hippies. Despite fracturing his skull in an early game, he continued to play for his admiring fans until his injury became too much to handle.

"Osmond" Cexchi (37 Games): Ex-Journeyman Skink, hired after receiving MVP for strategically gang-fouling a killer werewolf. His viciousness was so blatant that he was immediately sent off, but Coach appreciated the enthusiasm and took him on as a regular! Unfortunately his smashed ankle continued to cause him too much pain and he retired to make way for fresh talent.

Coatlpal (21 Games): Reliable Skink, talented at wrestling opponents to the ground. While not a superstar, put in many solid performances for the team until a smashed collar bone ended his career.
