Odins Slayers were brought into being by Darak Eyetwister for the purpose of taking the Blood Bowl world by storm. Immediately entering into the Brutal Blood Bowl League, these Norsemen seek only victory and carnage, although a good supply of ale and women goes down well. Led by captain and thrower Grim Axebreaker the slayers are a match for any team. Odins Slayers have a particular dislike of undead teams. They are considered unworthy to continue existence, having not earned a place in Valhala. The players ferocious style is made possible by their belief that Odin smiles on them. They fear no death as they know they are assured of a place in the great halls, as tribute to thier courage. The team members are recruited from the ocean side town of Kaupang, where many raids are said to be launched from. To qualify for entry, warriors must have fought in at least one overseas campaign, or be descended from one of the town council. Then the competitors are whittled down in tests of agility, stamina and strength. Finally the new team members must swear allegiance to the coach and Odin before beginning thier career. |
