Formerly known as the Blood Drinkers, the team was forced to disband after the "Yopo incident", where several players consumed illicit substances brought in by Amazon team, the Coral Snakes and proceeded to fly into a violent, drug-fueled frenzy during the match, injuring, killing and cannibalizing several opposing players, referees, spectators and teammates before even kicking off. While many former Blood Drinkers received a permanent ban from professional play, a handful of the original players still remain in the new team, the Black Forest Bonebreakers.
The major condition for the league allowing the team to reform was that their head coach was not allowed to have monotheistic worship of Khorne. This led them to seek out a former rival. A Warrior of note from the Twisted Claw, Aximand dal Narbath, and disciple of Tzeentch and Nuffle, decided to sign on with the Breakers as head coach on the condition that he be allowed to play as well. Now "Affirmative Aximand" leads the team on and off the pitch, his razor-sharp cunning turning the thuggish aggression of the team in a more constructive direction.
