Middenheim Sewer Jacks The Sewer Jacks are a specialised force, under the command of the City Watch, whose purpose is to keep the sewer system and the Undercity secure. A certain amount of courage is required to police the fetid tunnels beneath Middenheim, but the Sewer Jacks are less choosy in their recruiting policy than the other armed forces—partly because there is nearly always a shortage of volunteers for this dangerous and unpleasant duty. The sewers are no longer the dangerous place they once were, with most miscreants found in the crowd at Blood Bowl games rather than sneaking around in the sewer systems of the major cities. This has left many Sewer Jacks out of work. Thus a number of Sewer Jacks have decided to take to the Blood Bowl field. After all, where else could they use their specialist skills. The Blood Bowl pitch also gives them a shot at 'Sewer Scum'.... Sewer Scum Despite now plying their trade on the pitch, rather than in the sewer, the Sewer Jacks hold firm to their hatred of all Skaven and Goblins, the most common critters found in the sewers.
