9th game of the season, Khorne vs Nurgle, https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4386712 2nd half of a game that turned from winning to losing faster than a snotling hit by an ogre.
That happened when the best player of the team (Shattered Dreams) got is organs smashed to a pulp by a Nurgle's Rotspawn.

The hit was so strong that you could have stabbed his chest with a straw and sipped from the "Frappè" that was his insides... Bleargh!

But truth being said, the Akhorne's Followers were still ahead 1-0, despite now being down 5 players. There's still hope... a Lost Hope!

That's right, the only player with a chance to try and save the day was "Lost Hope".
A lineman with only 3 games on the pitch, but a heart of gold and shiny dreams.

The Gigachad starts his 4th turn by dodging out of a Pestigor AND a lineman to blitz the ball carrier. It's a down!
As he looked up tho, his smile quickly turned into a concerned frown while the coach screamed him incoherent gibberish. "THE BALLLL!"

Before he could fetch it, the rest of the Nurgle team was on him, 7, bad ass, foulish looking assholes ready to dig another grave.

Lost Hope narrowed his eyes, he wasn't going to have any of that shit.
He clenched his teeth and braced himself...

The murderous Rotspawn looked down at him first... and kept staring, the only neuron active in their head not firing as the they took a moment to contemplate the beauty of such a clean summer day.
Nature at his finest.

With a resigned sigh, the rest of the Nurgle team went down on the Khorne chad, they need no Rotspawn to bring down a simply lineman! Or did they?

One push, then another! Despites the assists, Lost Hope managed to headbutt on his last assailant, broking some teeth in the process as he turned to block on the Pestigor who once again gathered the ball.

The nearby crowd cheered as the ball (and the caririer) went flyiung. Incredible! A lucky roll and the ball was free once more.

And that's the turning point! The enemy coach, probably thinking it was over already, commanded some of his goons to go around the pitch to finish the last standing players.

But leaving Lost Hope alone against "only" 5 enemy players proved to be a huge mistake.

They bounced him around like a pinball, the last block finally sanding him flying right on the ball! If he could just rise one last time...

The last free Pestigor spitted down insults at him as he passed by to gather the ball and head to an easy tie.
Only to be met by "booos" and fruit tossed by the crowd, clearly cheering for the heroic Khorne Lineman trying to rise up once more!
As a rotten apple and an empty can of Bloodwiser hit him in the face, he lost grip on the ball, failing a simple pick up! Amazing!

As the pissed Pestigor turned to face the crowd, the gigachad, our hero, LOST HOPE! rised from the floor with an uexpected blitz! Smashing the gor on the ground and snatching the ball for himself.

The ref looked down at the clock, last turn. Do or Die!

The other Pestigor charged at him, horns first! But in this mighty day, Lost Hope was immortal, he was invincible.

He was an Ironclad of brilliancy and skill. The Apotheosis of an underdog.
An example for linemen to come. His name to be engraved in stones for the next generations to look up at him and smile...

He grabbed the gor by his horns, blocking him in place before uppercutting the poor beast on the floor.
The last whistle rung in the air.
It's over.

He turned around, as the (remaining) teammates gathered around him to congratulate him for such an amazing performance, lifting him up on their shoulders, still holding that spiky ball.
