Ragnar "Rocket" Rasmussen was the main force behind the forming of the Hellsville Hellions. Playing for an amateur Blood Bowl league, Rasmussen caught the eye of the local ruler, Baron Sargrimm. Impressed with Rocket's passing skills, Sargrimm decided to put in motion a long standing dream of his: owning a Blood Bowl team. Taking a core of players from the amateur team Rocket played with, including the late Wilhelm "White-Shoes" Johanssen, Sargrimm scoured the countryside for enough talent to put together a rough and raw team. Soon the Hellions were born with Rocket at the helm. Rocket is finally hitting his stride and getting his game together, but he is still lacking a solid core of talent around him.
"Dodger" McGee is going to have to live up to his name if he wants to survive his rookie debut for the Hellions. Tough opponents in the Fluff Cup make for deadly adversaries for veterans, not to mention a scrawny, terrified rookie.
Nik Zonka joined the team for one reason and one reason only. His son, Lars. Nik lost his farm to a greedy robber baron when he couldn't repay the loan he was forced to get to try and stay afloat. His wife long gone, and no way of caring for young Lars financially, the two tossed about for a couple of months, begging where they could, stealing when they had to. Wandering into a village one day where a group of people were excitedly chattering about their new Blood Bowl team and the local tryouts, Nik decided to give it a shot and to his surprsie, he made the team, albeit as a grunt in the trenches. He makes enough gold to make sure his son can attend the best school and do better for himself. So long as he can survive the viciousness that is Blood Bowl.
Quickly becoming one of the team's premier linemen, Wally Waller's story is one of 'local boy does good". While most of the players on the Hellions are part of Sargrimm's domain, Waller is the only one to actually come and "try out" for the team. Not showing much grace, but having barrels of determination (not to mention the fact that the Baron was in dire need of players) Waller made the team as a lineman. To everyone's surprise, including his own, Waller is coming on strong and getting better every game.
Rutger "Rock" Philbury was just a simple farmboy, tilling land with his parents for Baron Sargrimm. He also happened to be a huge strong farmboy, and the Baron was on the hunt for bodies to fill his Blood Bowl team. Not having much choice, his parents sent their boy - at the Baron's "request" - to training camp. He showed an aptitude for knocking things over, but he wasn't terribly bright, so the Baron stuck him in the trenches. Incredibly agile for a lineman, he is developing into one of the best players on the team.

Ghostdancer's skills were noticed earlier in his career by none other than the Reikland Reavers. Off field antics kept Ghostdancer off the starting lineup for the Reavers however and they soon showed him the door. This abrupt smack of reality matured Ghostdancer considerably and he tossed around for another opportunity. Luckily for the Hellions, Fate stepped in and he got wind of Baron Sargrimm's hunt for quality players. His experience with the Reavers has gained him a leadership role on the team, but his patience is being tested as the Hellions still continue to lose regularly..

"Basher" Gronski was Baron Sargrimm's Tax Enforcer. His nickname, "Basher", doesn't come from his exploits on the field, but from his days of bashing tardy tax payers on the head for their money. Sargrimm decided to use Basher on his team for the same purpose, and Gronski is now the team Enforcer. His responsibility is to make sure all the players show up and to encourage the team cowards to perform. He especially has his eye on Mercury Strekker.

"Pretty Boy" Tillmann is a ladies' man. Being primarily concerned with preserving his good looks, one wonders why Tillmann is on a Blood Bowl team, where the nicest looking face is something not even a mother could love. This is easily explained when one learns that Tillmann was caught in a compromising position with the Baron's own daughter, Grimhilda. Facing immediate castration, Tillmann chose to join the team to preserve his manhood. Plus he has learned that the ladies really like Blood Bowl players - especially one as "pretty" as he is.
Theodore Drukker is yet another of Baron Sargrimm's ex-enforcers turned Blood Bowl player. Not quite as nasty a character as some of the other enforcers, Drukker has taken to Blood Bowl with lukewarm enthusiasm. An early injury has slowed down Drukker considerably and at the moment his only contribution to the team is his ability to kick a football better than anyone else the Baron could round up.
Koppens comes in with Lieper as the two new rookies for the Hellions. The losing streak for the Hellions kept recruitment down to an all time low for the Hellions as enthusiasm for the team continues to wane. Sargrimm was hard pressed to choose any new players out of the sorry lot that he was faced with in tryouts, but felt that Koppens had some tiny bit of potential. If he can stay alive long enough, perhaps he can develop into a workable replacement for the Hellions' losses so far.

Kronk. What can be said about Kronk? He's Kronk. Not too bright, not too skilled, he still serves as the anchor for the Hellions line. His lack of brain capacity has led him to sitting down and staring at the sky during games far too many times for Baron Sargrimm's liking, but Kronk continues to provide a desperately needed function: breaking heads.
