After the succesful inclusion of the female convict Maria "Princess" Alvanez, who scored in her 3 first tournament matches, the ward decided to add another woman to the team. Cassie "Kiss of Death" Kingston is about as tough as women come and spread fear around her in prison block. The small town girl was never known for good looks, but instead relied on her strength and determined nature to get the job done.

She earned money in bars by entering in arm wrestling fights, drinking contests etc. She currenltly serves 10 years in prison for killing a man by a single blow. According to witnesses the victim, a seasoned biker, couldn't handle losing to Kingston in arm wrestling and swung at her first.

The two friends Quintero and The Brute were common mobsters working for the Red Dragon mafia syndicate, but in Blood Bowl no regards are taken to previous positions. The former grunts are now high profile players for the Gothenburg Gangstas, the experience from their lives as collectors making them excellent blitzers.

Quintero and the Brute were sentenced to death row for a series of charges including murder, arson, kidnapping and extortion and taking their chances in the team saved their necks from the noose.

The Albion Regional Challenge 12/07 almost proved the end for the deadly duo, when Brutus was saved from the clutches of death by the apothecary and Quintero was crippled by the opponents. Sadly Quintero's injuries couldn't be mended so the Brute had to continue by himself from then on.

Shanks entered the penal system as a common street thug, sentenced to several shorter spins for drug dealing, theft, carjacking etc. His reputation was built inside the prison, where he was known for never backing down if challenged. He now serves a life time sentence for multiple murders commited inside the prison, and applying for the Gothenburg Gangstas is his only hope of ever being a free man again.

Shanks has become the natural leader of the Gangstas. He tends to always be a dominating presence on the pitch and has racked up casualties and MVP awards.

<b>Achievments & Happenings</b>
Shanks sent his opponents a little prison style greeting in the RRR match against the Afterlife Cardinals, smashing one of the linesmen's knee cap when he was down, probably ending his career.

Shanks was the star of the match against the Caledorian Thistle, scoring 2 casualties (one should have been a RIP if not for the apo), the TD and was also awarded MVP, landing him 12 SPP's in a single match.

Achieved Star Player status in his 18th match.

D-Block was a legend in the D-Block ward of the maximum security prison and functioned as the leader and mentor for many of the inmates, after spending most of his life in the ward. Through cunning schemes and his background as a professional boxer Byron remained in power for many years, despite his no drugs policy making him many enemies.

But as the years took their toll he eventually got challenged and defeated, and D-Block applied for the Gothenburg Gangstas to see if he can restore his pride by becoming the leader of the team. D-Block speaks with a bad slur as a result of an injury.

Suffered a groin sprain after a failed dodge in Antipodal Regional Shield 7/07.

Blowout is one of the most notrious hitmen in Gothenburg, his obsession for chaos and destruction making him prefer incendiary grenades. Blowout was caught after a ferocious battle, where several policemen were badly injured and property damages shot through the roof. Being used to lobbing grenades he was the obvious choice for the position as thrower.

Sonny "Keg" Solanas is a member of the Angered Aces crew, and was sentenced to life in jail for a series of drug related murders. The husky Keg is a man used to bruises and fights, and was brought in as a replacement linesman.

Sadly Keg has taken too many beatings in the LOS and the doctors has now warned that the next hit can very well be his last...

Harley "Hunter" Reimes was a private detective that grew too attached to his case. He investigated the rape and murder of a young woman and knew he had found his man, but he lacked the evidence to nail him. When he heard that his suspect had commited another rape he took the law into his own hands and put a stop to him, the smoking barrel way. Unfortunately for Reimes there was plenty of evidence around to convict him to 10 years in prison.

A private detective won't have a great time in a prison together with the convicts he helped put there, so applying to the Gangstas was his desperate chance of getting out.

Amongst the hardened criminals and street trash in the Gothenburg Gangstas Philip Donovan is a real outsider. The former attourney was sentenced to 2 years in jail for multiple accounts of fraud. Spiteful colleagues placed him in the maximum security prison, where life amongst the murderers, rapists and other scum was unbearable for the upper class lawyer.

Joining the Gothenburg Gangstas is Donovans desperate chance of escaping that hell hole, and he reasons that if he dies trying at least he will be better off than in jail.

Maria Alvanez is probably the most appreciated member by her teammates. As if the penal team wasn't controversial enough the prison ward decided to spice things up by adding a female convinct. Alvanez is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kobe Jackson, who she accused of having raped her little sister.

Fast and agile Alvanez should make an excellent runner, and her teammates has allready named her Princess.

Beni Ahmid Fharzi was sentenced to death row for terrorist charges, after the murder of the famous pro-Israel politician Daniel Gervitsch, and applied to the Blood Bowl team as a desperate chance of survival.

Viewed with distrust and hostility by many of his teammates Beni is a lone wolf within the Gothenburg Gangstas, but doesn't seem to mind.

Terry Leonards is your typical Irish born street thug, but one thing separates him from the others in the team, his motivation. Before being sentenced to jail for 3 years for running over a woman pushing a baby stroller while DUI Leonard was practically glued in front of the TV, watching the Blood Bowl league.

When Terry got the chance to apply as a player he didn't hesitate for a second. This is the chance of a lifetime!

Joey "Screw Loose" Avanti was sentenced to life in jail for the bestial murder of his wife and her lover. The often so calm and collected mechanic snapped when he found out his wife was having an affair and tortured them both to death inside his auto repair shop. Two of the police officers involved in the investigation was reportedly taken off duty because of psychological problems after witnessing the crime scene.

Scew Loose was intended as a crazed LOS grunt, but the coach quickly realized that the mechanic had a real eye for the game and skilled at both throwing the ball and dodging tackles.

Taiki Saruwatari worked for the Yakuza as a contract killer and is sentenced to death for multiple murders. He earned the nickname "Jokes" by the other prisoners, since he seems totally humorless and has never been caught either smiling or making amusing comments.

Quick and agile he got the position as catcher for the Gangstas.

Karl Swendsen is a real monster, with his enormous body covered with scars from countless fights and scuffles. He was sentenced to capital punishment for a string of mob related murders, and murdered two police officers upon his arrest.

The Danish brute is not the most social character, but has obvious talents that fits the Gothenburg Gangstas.

Lucas "The Chef" DeLuca is a member of the Canevaro family and joined the team by the recommendations of Lupi the Suit. Although one might suspect that DeLuca got his nickname from his excellence in cooking Italian dishes, the real reason was for his other skill, managing a very productive drug lab.

It is unclear why DeLuca joined the Gangstas, considering he only has two years left of his prison sentence. Some suspect that Lupi the Suit plans to use him for connections with the outside world, while others claim that DeLuca has always been an avid Blood Bowl fan.

Namon "Flash" Bryce is a drug dealer, known for his extravagant taste in clothes, women and cars. Often seen at celebrity parties "Flash" had a reputation for being too slick and popular to get caught. In the end his luck ran out though, when the movie producer George Meidner set "Flash" up to the police in exchange for them dropping charges of tax evasion and fraud.

Now "Flash" has traded in his comfortable life and fancy designer clothes to a small cell and a standard convict uniform. Many suspect that "Flash" decided to join the team simply because he couldn't bear the boredom of serving his four year prison sentence.
