MAJOR: Crown of Sand open for applications

Each year the Tomb lords of the Khemri meet at a charred and blackened crack in the desert. There, powerful magic is called upon from ancient Tomes and Lich Lords under vow to assist, and the dusty magical conflagration sends up a flaming beacon into the sky. Teams from all over the world see the sign and flock to the desert for the chance to compete for the Crown Of Sand.

Tournament draw starts
22.00pm server time
Wednesday 16th July 2025

Any Competitive team can apply here to the qualifiers,
but every coach may only enter one team.

At the moment that applications are closed, the 8 most numerous races are each placed into their own qualifier. The other races are allocated into these groups first in reverse (race 8 gains race 9, race 7 gains race 10) and then from 17-24 in the original order(so 1, 16 and 17; 2, 15 and 18). Since we now have 29 teams in this ruleset we will then continue the snake back around. Although races 25 through 29 could be shifted over slightly with total numbers in each qualifier in mind.

Prizes

The Crown Of Sand gives the chosen player +ST (as long as the player does not have 2 +ST already), regeneration and decay for 80TV.

To stall or not to stall?. KO´s are the question.
Well, I´ve just played a match. Orcs vs Necros. I´m a veeeeery poor player of this game but I really enjoy it. The thing is that after finishing the match I´ve realize one thing just taking a look at the resume. The match has finished 1-1 but not because of my merits but for a bad decision of the other player in terms of stalling.

He could make his first TD in the turn 3 of the 1st half. He has chosen to delay scoring. as I´ve no chance in avoid scoring I just prepare the second half. Although no major injures were done, the truth is that several KO were suffered by my opponent. Maybe you just consider that KO´s are minor issues but you have to roll them in order to have your players back.

As he delayed the scoring, two thing were amounted. Less chances of the comeback of the players and more Ko´s suffered.

With all of this, he didn´t recover any player so he started the second half with -4 players due to the KO no recovered.

It made me the second half very suitable and I drawn the match.

Don´t get me wrong. This is not "an attack" to the other player. As I said before, I´m a poor player but sometimes we think that stalling is a good thing and maybe you are losing a chance to reroll your KO players while more of them are filling the bench in the stalling phase.

'Redraft after Major Tournament exit' rules change
Please note that we are changing the rules concerning exiting Major Tournaments and Redrafting.

Until now, exiting a Major Qualifier put a team into end-of-season state and exiting a Major main event forced immediate redrafting, regardless of how many games the team had played in their season.

From now on, teams exiting a Major (qualifier or main) will only have to redraft when they hit or exceed the 15 games of their season.

So in essence, you will always have to redraft after 15 games, unless you are in a tournament. Note that you do NOT redraft after winning a Major qualifier!
Please understand that to ensure fairness between coaches, all end-of-season/redrafting that resulted from past Majors will stand and cannot be retroactively revoked.

Final Call - Nuffle League Season 3
This is a final call for new coaches to the Nuffle League, where your team is completely randomized to begin out of 1766 different players. Some people have called this a roguelike version of blood bowl, or a gatcha version of blood bowl as every player is randomly rolled to join your team. You do have some control over what players join your team after the first 11, and starting team value is 1750k which gives you enough to purchase all the way to 14-16 players. Every coach that currently has played in the league loves it for its randomness and uniqueness as there is no other league like it and it stands on its own.

Every single roster on Fumbbl was added to the list of possible players and that includes derelict leagues, as the Nuffle League breathes life back into its unique positionals and pixels. Your team does start with an apothecary and reroll to start with to make sure you have something to work with. Some coaches use the apothecary to try and kill players because firing players is not allowed in this league until death.

Your team could include daemons, dwarves, sand elfs, elemental goblins, kobolds, 40k orks, and necrons in the current list. The league will be starting soon, so come join the chaotic fun that is the Nuffle League.

All rolls are done on Discord: https://discord.gg/uQfjnkK5Uh

White Isle League recruiting

WIL has concluded their 75th season and are looking for 7, maybe 8 new coaches

White Isle League or WIL in short, one of the oldest leagues on fumbbl, is recruiting for their season 76, 16th under bb2020 rules.

Closely following [C] (and NAF) races and ruleset, teams start in the Regionals and advance over the Conferences to fight with the best of the best in the Premier Division.

Starting last season, WIL uses seasons and redraft, with less focus on agent fees to keep players longer - it is about the long rivalry between teams, not a sprint.

There is a few places for new or returning coaches available. If you're interested and can commit to play a game every 9 days, then drop me a PM or swing by discord

To keep things diverse, there's a cap on 4 teams per race. Have a look here https://fumbbl.com/p/group?op=view&group=14949&p=teams&order=4 and decide your race. There may be movements, so shout out to hear if a 4 team race is available. Note, teams with score -200 are not active and do not take up a place.

Blitz 'Dem Special - Season II Stats Leaders Update

'Blitz 'Dem', the foremost fanzine for all things Blood Bowl presents for your consideration a special edition, updating all followers of the Greenskins Draft Rumble on the leader boards for the league's finest prizes, all of which will be awarded at the conclusion of Season II.

= LEAGUE LEADERS =
We are halfway through the regular season in the Greenskins Draft Rumble Season II. It's time to update the fans, coaches, and players of what they can win and who is currently leading the pack!

The Platinum Arm
Sponsored by Le Gob Sportif
- Your wardrobe is our concern
The award for the league's best passer is somewhat complex (for orcs at least). Each player who has made 5+ passing yards this season has their total distance divided by the number of pass completions (so long as they have made at least 3 successful passes). The player with the highest index wins this prestigious award.

1. Thugbo Skulltaker (Karak Norn Chargerz) - 16 yards / 3 passes

2. Karson Barbo (Karak Norn Crusherz) - 10 / 3
3. Grunk Gorefang (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics) - 9 / 4

There are other contenders who need one more completion to qualify;
1. Valeria Wargo (Bretonnian Brutes) - 5 / 2
=2. Groth Bonegnasha (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics), Grogg Skullrippa (Middenlands Ironskins) - 2 / 2

The Ruby Runner
Sponsored by Rutter Gunners Special Delivery Service
- We'll get it there-there
The award for the league's best ball carrier is a more simple calculation; how many yards - or paces in old money - did each player progress up the field with the ball in hand. The maths are certainly easier than the task itself!

1. ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds) - 203 yards

2. ★ Zuggrak "Splatta" Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers) - 153 yards
3. Orzog Shugdurbam (Nordland Skullsmasherz) - 146 yards
4. Indestructible (Iron Crag Clawz) - 112 yards
5. Hazel Nuts (Grom Peak Scrappers) - 111 yards

The Iron Gauntlet
Sponsored by Steelhelm's Sporting Emporium
- Jus' crunk it!
A real fans' favourite, the Iron Gauntlet is a sign of all that is associated with the greenskin game - brutal, physical force exerted on others without a second thought. The one who wields this has made the most blocks and is, therefore, not to be trifled with!

1. Arm Snapper (Averland Bat-Squigs) - 76

2. Grash Bonechewer (Badlands Black Feathers) - 71
3. Dakkul Beastmaw (Nordland Skullsmasherz) - 67
4. Kroll Stonecrusha (Altdorf Bloodhounds) - 60
5. ★ Head Stompa the Fourth ★ (Iron Crag Clawz) - 59

The Brass Boot
Sponsored by Star Insurance Guild
- They were on borrowed time anyway
Yes, they may be unloved, even by their own mother, and undervalued by all those who coach them but many players in the league want to make their mark on the game - normally in the shape of a boot print on a prostrate player's back. The fouliest foulers of the league aspire to being given the Boot themselves.

1. Rukzit the Menace (Averland Bat-Squigs) - 24 fouls

2. Slugg "Bullock" Bonekrakka (Dragonback Squigs) - 17
=3. "Unstoppable" Urza Spinechoppa (Drakwald 'Ardboyz), Skabzit Mudspitta (Nordland Skullsmasherz) - 10
=5. Cut Cut Gelder (Iron Crag Clawz), Miranda Hortalus ☠ (Mount Gunbad Big 'Uns) - 9

Careless Coach
Sponsored by Nurgle King
- Made special!
Some of us treat our draftees like heroes, showering them with wealth, trinkets, and platitudes, Some bring rookies through with all the due maternal care of a tiny, toothless squiglet. Others toss their overworked and underpaid players into the pitch like logs into a pot-bellied stove! This award is for the coach who just can't keep his players breathing.

1. RobinFern (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics) - 5 dead players

2. Nietizen (Badlands Black Feathers) - 3
=3. IntrepidWilson (Drakwald 'Ardboyz), AutoAxpert (Bretonnian Brutes), Ritzi (Middenland Ironskins), Kozilek (Mount Gunbad Big 'Uns) - 2

The Stone Slayer
Sponsored by Simpson & Son's Funeral Parlours
- You snuff 'em, We stuff 'em!
Only the most heartless, ruthless, merciless, fearless, bloodthirsty, cruel savages make this list - it's for the players who keep the undertaking business ticking along. Who has injured, maimed, or killed the most opponents?

=1. Grotz Eargrinda (Nordland Skullsmasherz), "Deadly" Grulg Bonecleava (Dragonback Squigs) - 6

=3. ★ Ghazghkull Thraka ★ (Drakwald 'Ardboyz), Wrath (Iron Crag Clawz), Tharku 'Eadsmasha (Bretonnian Brutes) - 4

The Silver Spike
Sponsored by Orcidas
- Possible is sumfink!
There can only be one winner of this, the most coveted trophy any player can win - the Spike is gifted to the player with the most touchdowns. The glory boys. The peacocks. The ones who can win a game in a split second. The sharpest point on the club.

1. ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds) - 8 touchdowns

2. ★ Zuggrak "Splatta" Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers) - 7
=3. Orzog Shugdurbam (Nordland Skullsmasherz), Hazel Nuts (Grom Peak Scrappers) - 6
=5. ★ Krenko King of the Goblins ★ (Mont Gunbad Big 'Uns), ★ Durg Nightfang ★ (Averland Bat-Squigs) - 5

Most Valuable Player
Sponsored by The Exploding Pig
- Ubersreik's least infested tavern
Each year, one special champion is awarded the MVP crown and they may choose to wear the beautiful horned, silver coronet embedded with emeralds during the course of the next season.

1. ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds) - 28 star player points

2. Hazel Nuts (Grom Peak Scrappers) - 22
3. ★ Zuggrak "Splatta" Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers) - 21
4. Skrogg Eargrinda (Mount Gunbad Big 'Uns) - 20
=5. Orzog Shugdurbam (Nordland Skullsmasherz), Wraith (Iron Crag Clawz) - 18

Most Improved Player
Sponsored by Kroxiade
- Gets to your throat fast!
Each coach may nominate a player that they feel they have developed well over the course of the season. They cannot be Marquee Players, but can be any other player whose accomplishments might be overlooked by the beady-eyed statisticians and the fair weather fans. Nominations will open after the end of the regular season and close 24 hours after the final match of the season has been decided.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next Special Edition covering the movers and shakers of the trade window!

Blitz 'Dem - GDR Edition #2; Issue #7

'Blitz 'Dem', the preeminent periodical for all things Blood Bowl, having been published by diligent grotz since 1964 IC, brings you the key facts from the opening Gameweek of the inaugural season of the Greenskins Draft Rumble.

= GAMEWEEK 7 ROUND-UP =
The mid-point of the regular season gave us some huge results and even hugerer fatalities!

= STAR PLAYER POINTS =
Perhaps proof of this periodicals growing readership is that notice is taken of the names which appear here. None of last week's peak performers featured this week; perhaps implying that coaches are more aware of the threat those particular players hold:
7 SPP - Hazel Nuts (Grom Peak Scrappers)
6 SPP - ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds); ★ Zuggrak Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers)

= CASUALTIES =
Plenty of blocks thrown this week and an increased workload for the apothecaries to show for it:
2 casualties - Wubdagog (Badlands Black Feathers); Arm Gnawer (Iron Crag Clawz); Grotz Eargrinda (Nordland Skullsmasherz)

= BLOCKS =
The weekly average amongst blocking leaders continues to increase:
14 blocks - Kroll Stonecrusha (Altdorf Bloodhounds)
13 blocks - Grash Bonechewa (Badlands Black Feathers)
12 blocks - Arm Snapper (Averland Bat-Squigs); ★ Head Stompa The Fourth ★ (Iron Crag Clawz); ★ Ghazghkull Thraka ★ (Drakwald 'Ardboyz)

= TOUCHDOWNS =
New faces this week, compared to last, but two scorers who are becoming a real problem for their opponents:
2 touchdowns - ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds); ★ Zuggrak Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers)

= FOULS =
An utterly incredible new gameweek record set by the Averland Bat-Squigs - Rukzit now has 24 fouls in 6 matches. To add to that, the Fanatics once angelic demeanour has well and truly been removed as they have their first mention in this category:
10 fouls - Rukzit the Menace (Averland Bat-Squigs)
4 fouls - Urza Spinechoppa (Drakwald 'Ardboyz)
3 fouls - Baggit Wartsnout (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics)

= RUSHING YARDS =
The same names continue to rack up the distance, often carrying the ball over the touchline in the process.:
36 yards - ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ (Altdorf Bloodhounds)
30 yards - ★ Zuggrak Gorblat ★ (Badlands Black Feathers)
23 yards - Grukgore Ironjaw (Middenland Ironskins)

= PASSING YARDS =
The specialist passers seem to prefer exploding bombs to the squigskin footballs...

= AWARD WINNERS =
Each Gameweek, there will be awards for some notable players and coaches:

MVP
Coach RobinFern may be glad it's not one of his players to be named MVP as, every time they win it, one of the Fanatics seems to get killed in the following game. Many of his opponents will hope this curse honour will be continued with the Bloodhounds' ★ Dazlug Mudshredda ★ who scored twice and led the rushing yards category, edging out ★ Zuggrak Gorblat ★ of the Black Feathers by a mere 6 yards and 2 blocks.

Golden Clipboard
Nietizen (Badlands Black Feathers)
Coach Nietizen secured the number one ranked position at the halfway point of the regular season with a solid 2-0 win over the Crusherz. Skurn Rocksmash's vital deflection was enough to give Nietizen the lead over close runner-up Coach Rijssiej, whose team got the same result against the Big 'Uns.

Best Result
Hierophant (Estalia Gutrippers)
MATCHSCORESCORERS
Estalia Gutrippers1★ Z. Slugweava ★
Averland Bat-Squigs0--
With the resurgent Bat-Squigs hosting, just a week after their first league win, the Gutrippers were 6th in the competition, behind Averland, Karak Norn, and Tilea. But their quick start - removing 3 players in the first half - helped them overcome 3 turnovers and the loss of their troll in turn 5 and score the only touchdown of the game late in the first half. The Bat-Squigs fought back back some unsuccessful blocks (including two where they were outnumbered) and a simple but failed pick-up cost them and the Gutrippers held on to leapfrog the mid-table group to finish the Mork Conference in 3rd place.

= IN MEMORIAM =
For every winner, there must be a loser and, to give them their (final) moment in the limelight, we recognise those players who left us this week:

‣ Brody Venessa (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics) - last week's MVP suffered the Fanatics Jinx this week. The blitzer started his career at the Carcasonne Snarlfangs, making 6 blocks in 3 games. But he excelled in one notable game - scoring once and being named MVP against the Fanatics. The Karak Azgaraz side made him their 1st round pick in the Season II Draft and he scored twice in 6 games, contrubuting 25 blocks and 2 MVPs in the process. A good player who may go down as one of the great unfulfilled blood bowl careers.
‣ Aln Shearahh (Averland Bat-Squigs) - perhaps if they had concentrated less on fouling and more on protecting their players, Shearahh would be alive today. However, the blitzer was killed by Gutrippers' Jaylo Otho after 11 games, 30 blocks, 1 casualty, 1 touchdown, 1 foul, and 2 MVPs. A key player that will surely be missed.
‣ Durgash Yamwort (Karak Azgaraz Fanatics) - the Fans lost another player in the same game; a 3rd round pick lineman with 1 MVP and 1 casualty to his name over 6 games. Absolutely replaceable.

Look out for our specials coming soon - Stat Leaders edition followed by Transfer Window special - all before Week 8 resumes!

21 years on Fumbbl
I have officially surpassed 21 years on fumbbl. 4500 games later, I might, have a problem. Sound off anyone that has been here since then, I know the list is short.
