I really like this idea. I suppose the main argument against is going to be that we shouldn't be dividing up the player base any more than necessary - it might be hard to find a game in some brackets in some time zones.

Great idea in theory.
The main problems i see with it would be the lack of coaches on the site meaning the brackets would water down an already diluted player base.
And some coaches (who shall remain nameless) would still not care at all if they were in the higher brackets and could just abuse the system to get easy targets to kill in the lower brackets. This could potentially discourage newbies joining.
Both could be solved by allowing games across brackets, but then that sort of defeats the object.

What do you mean by competitive? :P
Nice idea, but not enough coaches.

You're right, insufficient coaches. Lets all utilize our social networks and invite friends to learn Bloodbowl and join FUMBBL and come play. New BLood required for more fun options.

If done right, coach numbers would not be a problem. Examples:
- Factionized activation only possible at full hours.
- Factionized activation also requires general activation of additional teams as a default fallback.
