The Box Minor of Mass Destruction
Were you lately thinking to yourself "Wow, my Legend is really old. I hope he doesn't retire from boredom"?
Have you often thought "Forget this silly pigskin, I want to murder pixels"?
Do you miss the days when Dirty Player added two to armor or injury rolls?
Do you ever say to yourself "Only eight Casualties this game; Weaksauce!"?
Do you look forward to a minor in which Azure won't be playing?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, you are required by the will of Nuffle to join the CARNAGE CUP!
The winner of the Carnage Cup is the Black Box team that inflicts the most casualties during the KO tournament
This will be a 32 or 64 team event.
Be sure to go to Overtime for extra blood, bones, and tears.
Concessions are not allowed (and we will all laugh at you, to boot).
No feeder teams (all skeleton, etc) or stunty teams are allowed to enter.
Bring only your bashiest bad boys.
Entries will be accepted the 16th of March. Kickoff is the 23rd of March.
Send all questions to Grand Poo-Bah Azure.

So... the goal is to make the most cas... But I'm sure you have to actually advance in the KO cup by winning the game, right? So to make the format truly do as you say, shouldn't it be a round robin or a swiss?
Though I suppose it would be kind of cool if the team that winds up winning the tournament actually got knocked out of it in the quarterfinals. =D

It sounds like a ton of fun in [L], but I have some problems seeing it as a viable addition to the official tournaments. Especially the entry criteria seem to go directly against the normal guidelines.

You guys are killing it. Well done. This isn't the first announcement in regards to this event.
To have a shot at the Cup you've still got to be able to win games. And no, not every race will have an equal shot at winning. Is it a permanent addition to the tournament calendar? Probably not, as I suspect there is a lack of automation to support this.
As a one off event it's a bit of a laugh, and brings a fresh element to a the tournament scene. It may also appeal to people that find the majority of competitive bloodbowl tournaments too serious and stale.
No one is forced to enter, so if it's not your cup of tea then play a different way. Constructive criticism is likely welcomed by the organisers, but snarky opinions and comments add nothing and invite further trolling.

Iam not apart of the carnage cup except for my limited capacity to promote majors and minors.
BUT
I can assure all of you this a one shot deal to test the waters of trying to "liven" up the Brawl scene with a unique event, similar to the outrageous and over the top FUBAR cup, which was also run inside the Brawl system.

Not everyone's cup of tea...but there was some requests for a more no-holds barred brawl - and this is is.
Standard KO tournament, advance by winning...but the ultimate prize goes to the team with the most CAS inflicted.

I have an interest in all things FUMBBL. Even if I would not participate in this tournament, it is a development that raises at least one eyebrow.
