DLE7s Official End of Season player awards
End of season awards dinner is coming soon, the awards committees have named the finalist for all of the positional awards. One of each three finalists will win the award and go forward to win the overall Heizmenz trophy, rewarding the best player in college football. Remember, prestige points are up for grabs

Butkiks Award – Awarded to the most outstanding Blitzer in the College Seven aside system. Named after their unparalleled ability to kick behind and keep on scoring!
Edmund Heckler - An absolute mainstay in the hearts and minds of the fans at home and the longevity in the league of a guy like Heckler ensured he was on this shortlist as much as his impressive play. He got the Middenheim team to the play offs with 18(!) casualties over the season as well as chipping in with 6 touchdowns. Edmund gives them a chance in any game but his days have to be numbered in the college ranks as the eventual number one overall pick must be considering his options for the draft.
Dane Morrow - Where Heckler helped the Mountain Wolves to the playoffs, Morrow was left as the one star in a struggling team. The Hilltoppers limped home at the back end of the season and lost some key guys along the way. Morrow was the only guy keeping the home fans on the edge of their seats and his allround game got them some recognition. He was able to be involved in ALL parts of the game, effectively running, passing and hurting his way to this nomination.
Daniel de Pisieux - Another repeat nominee for a star who surely will be on his way along with Heckler to the draft. Daniel had a truncated season but was able to contribute so much. He ended the HIGHEST scoring Blitzer in the league in only 6 games with 9 total touchdowns.

Bilenticatch Award – The most outstanding Catcher in College Sevens is awarded the Biletnicatch Award. One handed diving catches and aggressive defensive play rewarded for those pure athletes who are brave enough to wear half as much armour as anyone else
Grégoire Noel – The Kislev team contributed two catchers in this category and that is an amazing feat for a game with such a small roster size. Kislev finished top of the piled and Greg blew most of the competition away with 11 touchdowns and a league leading 304 rushing yards!
Rémi Bertellin – Remi was the second great receiver on the White Wolferines and also found the endzone 11 times. Where Greg was the leading ruser, Remi put some hurt on his opponents, sending 3 opponents off the field and pulling in an interception over the course of the year. He's as deserving as anyone on this list!
Vernon Aversalt – Vernon Aversalt... What a one man force he was this year. A highly talented player who actually turned that raw ability into 20 touchdowns. He wasted no time racking up the accolades and establish himself firmly as one of the best catchers in the college game. Will he be able to bring. The playoffs will be interesting as all 3 of these players will be facing off as the Swabbies meet the White Wolferines!

Nagitski Award - Linemen are important and this is where they get their credit! Who out there are the guys who are working hard to let your Superstars run wild? Find out below
Benedikt Horvath – the first Merchant on this list and he earned his place in his short career by suprisingly running in 4 scores, the most of ANY linemen in DLE7s. Benedikt has already moved on to the draft pool but he will be happy to learn that he earned his way on this list.
Jared Jane – Another Swabbie on the list and this one racked up 100 rushing yards as a lineman! He chipped in with passes, touchdowns and even a casualty and an interception. His Larsson statline over the season earned him his nomination stripes.
Mamoudou Doumbouya – Doumbouya racked up 100 (!) blocks over the season. How ridiculous is that?! He wasn't even one dimensional either, finding time between smashing face and breaking backs to actually run in a few scores.

Spewnitas Award – The best and most accurate Throwers in DLE7s will be honoured with the Johnny Spewnitas Golden Arm Award. Candidates identified for being the player who drags their team along, binding them as a leader and displaying keen athletic and arm talent.
Darius St Martin Urquhart – The Nuln Nights may be on the way out of the college system but they have consistently put Throwers in a position to shine, following up Hotspur's victory in this last season, Urquhart is one of the nominations here, leading the league in passing yards, trusting his receivers as he went deep regularly.
Franz Raphael Schock – Schock could be seen as a shock inclusion on this list as the Bobcats were new to the league but they trusted Schock with the rock and he repayed them with a league leading 19 passes. The Bobcats will be proud of him.
Hyman G. Neil 'Hoodoo Brown' – Hyman turned in regular performances and led all Throwers in rushing with nearly 130 yards. He pulled the effort together from his team mates and led a top 5 offense through a tough season that ultimately ended with him on this shortlist

Outland Award – Big, brutish and grumpy, the Ogres have arrived in college 7s. Their mass can give all coaches nightmares but they can also create havoc for their own team! Here’s the cream of the crop.
J Otto Know – J Otto is a no frills big guy who just laid waste to his opponents all year on his way to this nomination. You ought to know that this guy is best avoided.
Jean-Amour Fazer – Yet more Kislev representation on the list, no wonder they ended the season on the top. Jean-Amour was much loved by the White Wolferines fans and his 7 casualties have kick started a career that will go from strength to strength next season
Barret Grayson – Barret topped the casualties chart for Ogres along with Jean-Amour and they will face off in the play offs shortly but Barret's year has enhanced his reputation in the college ranks. He was very picky with his blocks and was a mainstay on his team on offense and defense. One to watch!

There you have it, the nominees are excited in anticipation of the ceremony in a few days!
