I played a cyanide match...
...we had 2 rips and I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for my opponents comments.
For a game that sells itself on graphics I am pretty underwhelmed so far, the animations and sounds convey so little action, brutality, suspense and ultimately so little immersion that it should be a crime.

Hehe but somehow I always hear about how shiny it is, I thought the drawback was a cruddy interface and slowish moving/blocking but that it would actually look cool. :)

Until it becomes a full fledged movie, it will never match my imagination. Which is precisely why I prefer FUMBBL, in that it mirrors the tabletop game as good as a computer can (save the 3D minis ;)

I'd like to test myself once. I think I'll buy chaos edition when BB2 is out. Guess it will be on sale by then.
Haven't tested yet, but seen some YT matches. Isn't it a bit dark? or is it just the video compression?
Is it possible to get a "fummbl-view" of the pitch? (from above, sideways) ;D

If you zoom out all the way your view is roughly from the top (though not sideways). I did this all the time, since it was the only way I could clearly see anything. And the "fancy" graphics? They aren'y that good from that perspective. The part where they zoom in for them? Costs time and overview, and is sub-par for modern gaming.
Just my 2 cts worth. I'm still very happy they made it, because it's how I discovered fumbbl. I do suspect I'll pay Cyanide another visit, but probably not before the next time Christer's server rack falls over or something.

It already goes to sale on Steam from time to time.
It is a bit dark but that is not a problem. You can see clearly enough.
You can get a birds eye view but I don't think you would really want to use it.
There is a lot wrong with it but if you are not hardcore it probably does the job once you get used to it.
The AI is pants but if you just want to kill half an hour or an hour it works OK. For people who just want to kill all mens I'd recommend it. :twisted:
