Slann: Crap but fun
I've tried a few games with them. I've played a fair few against them.

I see how much potential the team has to be, once they accumulate a few skills and if they can stay alive long enough, absolutely devastating, nigh on impossible to stop on offence or defence.

I love how they force me to think way outside the box, how the usual tactics of Blood Bowl simply don't apply to their unique style of play.

When you look at them, and indeed when you first play them, they come across as a much worse version of Skaven - four AG4 dudes, some other postionals, big guy with a tail, same ability to pull of a random BS play of utterly galling magnitude...but without the speed or useful starting skills.

The major difference though? that unique style of play makes them an absolute riot. I love them and dammit I WILL make them work for me. Skaven bore me to tears...but Slann keep me coming back for more punishment.

Slann: they're a bit crap...but whatever happens you'll end the game with a big silly grin on your face.

And don't forget that many opponents are still trying to figure out how to play against the froggies. They may be crap, but the y win matches based on tactical blunders made by opponents who are just plainly confused.

I like them :)

Like ogres and vamps, best thing against them is to play solid and let the vast number of dice they're bound to roll undo them. If they aren't using Leap, they are an overpriced human team. If they are, they're making a lot of 3+ and 2+ rolls that have no built-in reroll skill (e.g. Dodge, Sure Hands). They're asking to burn rerolls and make turnovers.

If slann get a little lucky, they're very likely to win. With fragile catchers, underskilled blitzers, and overcosted linos, they're outclassed in most games and without some lucky breaks (i.e. turns of quite a few 2+/3+ rolls working with no reroll) they get buried.

They're fun to play though, and don't feel "out of it" until most of the team is cleared off the pitch.
