I have an Amazon league team.

At the time of writing, they've played seven games. In those seven games I've lost 5 players through debilitating injury (2 -AVs) or straight death (3, including one poor Blitzer killed just after reaching 16SPP, despite the use of my apothecary). This is one of those things that happens when you play a team with uniform AV7.

One thing I noticed was that two of these ex-players had worn the number 9 shirt. Then I looked at the current roster and saw that my one current player who carries a permanant negative effect - a niggle - was also number 9.

So in half the game's I've had a player number 9 she's been at least SI'd (and last game she spent all but iirc two turns in the dug out). Half the players on the team who have suffered permanent on-field injuries have been number 9.

I think when it comes time to replace the one with the Niggle, I'll let the cursed jersey remain vacant.
