It's hard being replaceable
In Blood Bowl players die, it happens. You know it happens, I know it happens, and none of us are going to stop playing just because some lunatics decide to kill themselves for our entertainment. Sometimes however, these lunatics don't choose to play. As is the case with Skyre Slaves, and the Vampire's precious thralls.

I think about this every time I play my Vampires.

In their most recent game I had two thralls die.
Samuel L. Snackson and Dude, Where's My Thrall?

The really sad thing is that not only was this Dude's very first game, but he died in his very first steps in a Blood Bowl match. That's right, so not only was this guy forced into slavery, given a stupid nickname, then fed on by some vicious vampires, but then he's told he has to play this ridiculously violent game to help his "masters" earn glory. He steps onto the pitch, is told to stand at the LoS for Kick-off, and as his team is forming a cage around the ball, he takes one step away from the terrifying Chaos Warriors bearing down in him, he trips and kills himself. Pretty lousy way to go if you ask me.

only wish it had been my chaos warrior, so I could get the spp's, rated it 6 for compassion

Well, he served his masters by denying SPPs to their opponents. Funny blog.

His name was foreshadowing... you are aware how that works, right? ;)

Rarely with such efficiency, though. 1 game - zero turns - sploosh. Could not be more impressive.

How about creating the Nuffle Health Service for LRB7 to save those poor souls?

Each team has 10k taken from their winnings automatically each game to create a public fund.

During a game, when one the players die or has a permanent injury and you don't want to use your apothecary for him, you can choose to put him on a waiting list to receive the free services of a wandering apothecary, funded by the NHS.

To stay realistic though, the waiting time on the list is 375 games...

Wouldn't that be wonderful?

He answered his own question.
"In the cas box".

Considering each day, we play around 450+ games in this site, the NHS is very efficient as it has them checked within 24h (if it is "only" 375 games waiting list).

I would like more health services to be so professional in "repairing" serious injuries ;)

Send SI players to surgery, costs x money and MNG for 3? or some games.

How many serious injuries/kills per game though? Average of 2 maybe? 1.5?

That's still 675 injured players to sort out every day and only 1.07 gets healed every day... So some of the 675 to be injured on the first day are on a waiting list for over 1 year and 9 months :D

And that's just the day 1 injuries :D

Such a sad story, I wept into my cornflakes.

I'm sorry, but is somebody suggesting "Surgery and Physical Therapy: The Game!!"...?

I might prefer Monkey Preschool Lunchbox...
