Here an update on how the rankings are progressing. As i explained in a previous thread, this rankings try to mimic ATP Tennis World Tour Rankings.
Please note that i have changed the point allocation system. Please find an explanation on how points are allocated right below the rankings.

POINT ALLOCATION SYSTEM

1. I took same point sequence as the ATP uses for its MAJOR Tournaments. This is: 10-45-90-180-360-720-1200-2000
2. I match this sequence to number of wins that any coach had in any given official FUMBBL Tournament throughout 2013. As i only keep track of teams winning at least 2 games in a given tournament, this works out like this: 2w-10 points//3w-45 points//4w-90 points//5w-180 points//6w-360 points//7w-720 points//8w-1200 points//9w-2000 points
3. I allocate a fix 10 point bonus to any team that gets 2 wins or more in a Major tournament (Stunty Majors included)
4. I allocate a fix bonus to teams winning a title. It goes like that: 2 Rnd title=5 pts//3 Rnd title=9 pts// 4 Rnd title=18 pts//5 Rnd title=36 pts//6 Rnd title=36 pts//7 Rnd title=36 pts//8 Rnd title=36 pts// 9 Rnd title=30 pts.

A modifier for the tier of race played would be fun. ;)

1.0 for tier zero-one
1.2 for tier two
1.5 for tier three

Or something. Also, this setup really rewards people who enter a lot of things over people who just enter majors but do well in them. For example, I am much more impressed by someone who only entered two majors all year and won five games in each than by someone who wins 20% of the smack games they play but enters a smack every week.

Still, fun work you are doing - keep it up!

Thx for the nice comments.
This system it rewards volume, however you would be surprise of how spread the minors are. Many different winners and it is quite rare that someone really has more than 6 tournaments awarding them points.
Paople making good runs at majors are the ones on top of the list basically as the point sysyem rewards them. Qaz is a good example. He has not played many tournaments, basically majors and a very few minors but as he keep getting good performances he is in 2nd position. Azure is another example he plays Majors and win them plus plays minors and win them, so he is first and with big difference.
This is just a ranking to have fun with. It does not pretend to be a perfect math approach. It would be nice if just encourage people to play tournaments.

I do like the effort you put in sonrises. I don't like the fact that some of those coaches play exclusely top tier teams. It is impossible to make that list when you like to play Flings, or ect. When some coaches only play CDs and min max their way onto that list there is not enough variables to hold water when talking top 25. I must say that from the sidelines we can always criticize someone's opinion, though not put in the effort like you did. Kutos to that effort and keep up the good work. :)

Lists are lists. It's all CR by another name. Flawed but says something, it only depends how into that thing you are as to how interested in the list you are.

When I watch tournaments, I don't often think the coaching on show is 'Top'. Others rave about it. Different folks for different strokes. ;)

Keggiemckill. Thx a lot for ur nice words. This list is NOT about "who is the best at BB"- Sp00keh quoted- it is a way to add some fun to coaches that like to play tournaments for the thrill of it. So, extra bragging rights for someone winning a tourney that at the same time progresses big time in the ranks. If i had Pain State's talent for the fluff i would have done it Milford way. More seriously, if this push people to play more tournies the better. Please, check SzieberthAdam's blog "FUMBBL Masters" and you will get another point of view closer to the one i guess/suppose you'd like.
