I am considering a league where everybody has a lot of option to customize his team, while everybody has access to the same resources.
Premises:
- No progression
- As no progression, should be fun out of the box
- Same custom roster for everyone
- Players cost no money, so you can switch horses for free. (and no inducement)
- 16 players at the beginning of each game
- All players are equally useful/powerful
- Maximum variety of positionals on the roster
- Each positionals are 0-2
- As simple as possible (coaches need to be able to remember all players.)
Challenge:
Design this custom roster. The trick is to make all the players equally useful, and make as many of them as possible.
I am looking for suggestions and feedback here about the players, and the optimal power level for that league. |

7347 pass, sure hands
Let this be the benchmark player, the only passer on the roster. What should be the blitzer like to be equally powerful as this passer? |

7338 Block, Tackle presumably. I mean this is kind of hard evaluating equally useful while not making OP players |

It might be useful to try and define the positions you want to see so we have a better handle on where to begin on stats. |

Im not quiet sure what this is or how you could/would impliment a League like this? I see no options for these kinds of things in the Group creation page's? But this is a interesting concept. |

@Deyempe
This may not end up here on fumbbl, it would be a house rule concept.
@mrt1212
I can see following but not exclusively
- thrower
- blitzer
- LOS fodder
- runner
- catcher
- specialist (kick, dp, leader)
I can see multiple variant of most of those. Except thrower, where I identified the least possible variants. (Plus no point having more than 2 on any roster) |

Passer seems like maybe a too good runner? Exchange ag4 for accurate and strong arm?
You don't want several passers? Like:
1. accurate, stron arm
2. Nerves of steel, dump off
3. hail mary pass, kick off return |

No, after a week lamentation I narrowed down to 1 passer variant. Runners still have huge design space in my opinion:
9247 dodge
7347 dump off, pass
7347 dump off, sure hands
8237 stunty, dodge, sure hands
As examples. To name a few. Probably wont be 4 different, maybe 2 different runner options. |

Narrowed down the RUNNER options to 5. There will be probably 2, or maybe 3. Please think about them, which would you like most as the ethos of RUNNER in this custom setting. (Important that it should feel like runner, not blitzer, thrower, etc.)
runner1 - 8 2 3 7 stunty dodge sure hands
runner2 - 7 3 4 7 dump off sure hands
runner3 - 9 2 4 7 dodge
runner4 - 6 4 3 7 sure hands
runner5 - 8 3 3 7 sure hands
And nov, please rank them. |

1: Gutter Runner.
Would never consider taking them instead of a GR: The rest. |

Ok, so the gutter option is overpowered then. |

Yeah I think so. The 8337 SH is most like a pure runner to me as he isn't exactly suited to passing or catching. |

I tend to agree to exclude the gutter, and include the 8337 sh.
Is there any fix or exclusion that you can see? I kind of like the str4 guy, as a fullback type purely from NFL fluff point of view. |

We need Dragon Ogres! 8 6 4 10 Disturbing Presence, Foul Appearance, Claw, MB, Piling, Thick Skull, Leap, Jump Up, Prehensile Tail, Loner - 300k
But seriously, how about Line Fodder like: 5 3 3 9 Wrestle, Foul Appearance, Regen |
