Angry Pasta Mob
This was a really horrible game for my opponent who had 1 guy for the entire second half. His KO rolls were terrible and lack of players made the game a very onesided affair. 4-1 win and 6 cas gives 40 points. |

sk8bcn: I think the open format is pretty key to keeping Stunty Leeg Events accessible and light-spirited - you can toss a team into one and not worry about having to stick to any kind of schedule or whatever. The downside of course is that the Event will be dominated by the coaches that play more games, but I couldn't think of a better system than the lottery Evo came up with to counter that effect.
Speaking of the lottery, when is it going to be held? |

nor you have in open round robin. But at least you see standings how many game left, what opponent played and so on. Far more motivating. |

The format was chosen after much careful deliberation. The TCM and other parts of the S.L.E.D.G.E. were not supposed to be ultra-competitive tournaments. They are supposed to be silly light-hearted events. The are supposed to be mass participation events, not highly motivating competitons.
With that in mind, any suggestions on improving the S.L.E.D.G.E. would be appreciated.
As for the lottery, I wanted to give coaches a chance to double check there scores before making the draw. The draw will be held this weekend.

maybe, if the problem is to see games played, why not giving (even a silly) reward on coaches havin played X games?
And Open round robin is better than free form, IMO. More motivating (which doesn't mean I play to win anyway) |

Personally, I would prefer an open round robin as well, but I can see the advantage, that in this open format teams can join even after the event has started.
I love your idea with the TR-restriction. Now, not like in the T.N.T. one wasn´t bothered by coaches who wanted to play your team with a difference of over 100.
But, especially in the last weeks (it was nearly impossible for me to find games, partly because my team kept loosing TR...), it was pretty complicated. I checked if coaches of the event in my TR-range were on, if yes, had to check in my teams history, if I had played them already, and then find them in the chat and list of games beeing played.
I can not give my vote to either format, since both have pros and drawbacks. I think I will join the R.O.T. whatever format.
Maybe, if you can find the time, or the staff to help you, an update of the points once per week at the group page would be rather nice. |
