By title, I had a 5+4 roll. Should I take AV or just block? What would you do? The team is fresh. 1000tv finished the first match. |

Thank you for the very quick answers!
Why you think AV is not worthy? Isn't survivability a good thing for such an expensive player, plus, doesn't it assure it will be able to become stronger before being killed?
Also, not taking AV, then, is it worthy to take MA over block or dodge? (since first skill I'll probably would pick block) |

AV is quite pointless except maybe on Skinks. MA is good but the player is suboptimal for too long in a league if you take it first skill. I would take Block. |

Because if you get +AV, you're begging for your opponent to roll a 9. Kind of weird.
But then he rolls a 10 (every time), and the resultant rage endangers nearby kittens. |

What da heck?
A skink is fast...his job is to get faster, take the +MA
A AV 9 players job is to hit and get hit...you always take the best odds in the game and take the +AV and boost him to 10.
The AV 8 players...now that is a interesting debate.
I would say linos and guys who get hit a lot take the +AV
Players, like the werewolf take the speed because in the end they should not be getting hit a lot in a match. |

My two cents...take the +MA at 6+ and then if your roll a double or another stat upgrade worry about taking block or dodge. |

The main reason not to take AV is because Claw ignores it. In your league, there is another Necro team and Skaven, and they can both take Claw. If you have promotion/relegation, you could end up playing any of the Chaos teams, who can also take it. |

Sigh, by this logic this statement is then true.
Do not take dodge because some teams have tackle and render it useless on blocks. |

The real reason to not take AV has nothing to do with claw and everything to do with pixel hugging being a way to continue losing long term when an actual useful skill would help you win more short term.
Or, in most cases, MA.
On an MA8 player already?

I take +AV on teams that are vulnerable to losing players quickly and thereby auto-losing the match. So basically just Norse and Pro Elf linos, who are then perma-assigned to LOS duty. Bit of a TV sink, but chance of removal on a knockdown goes from 17% to 12% with no skills, 33% to 22% with Mighty Blow. |
