With your team theme you should probably take +MA to recover some of the MA you lack due to the theme. OR you should continue to maximize your AV with +AV.
I don't know the Maths but I seem to recall seeing the +AV from AV9 to AV10 being considered not worth it as compared to the value added for +AV an AV8 (or lower) player.
But then Diving Tackle is annoying and so is Blodge and so is Stand Firm/Side Step and if you took Diving Tackle NOW you could have the most annoying player in the league on his next skill. |

Not a waste, SS does things SF doesn't. With a team of SF, one SS might be the perfect twist.
And w/ St 4, it makes him VERY risky to block if he's near the ballcarrier. |

I'd take DT in a heartbeat...
EDIT - And I'd also use that treasury to buy positionals. |

I 100% agree. Of course, SS and SF ain't the exact same thing, but I've never understood the reasoning behind taking SS on a double.
Which player would you hire?
- Block, Side-Step, Guard (and another reg skill)
- Block, Diving Tackle, Stang Firm, Guard
I would hire the second one for sure. |

Wrong. Because when you hit someone with SS, 9 times out of 10 you can't predict where they'll end up. Unless of course you have grab. But then, that's usually not a first or even a second skill choice before tackle or mighty blow anyway. I'm willing to bet it works out better than average for him. Already blodge and a normal skill roll away from guard... Annoying doesn't even really cover it. And if the opponent brings the big guns to take care of this dude, that means he won't be focused on the ballcarrier... |

If you mean that you're never to the left of anyone, I guess that could be true.
If you're saying that you're always correct...

I see you play in a League. Is it a long term league? The question you should be asking yourself is what type of teams do they usually face?
If they are dodgy teams, DT is the way to go. If they are bash heavy teams, SF or even SS in some situations is gold. When you have SS, frenzy blitzes will be less frequent depending on your positioning, especially against a S4 blodge beast.
Personally, I would go SF to keep him in contact with players. he can mark 2 players successfully in most situations because of his blodge. |

This is not even close.
Diving Tackle or skip for guard/mighty blow.
Anything else is just people being silly and trying to outhink people who actually know what they are talking about.
And I don't even like jimmy. |

Jump Up. Definetly Jump Up, block dodge jumpup will make him a great all round blocker and ST 4 isn't doing the opposition a favor. Also the high armor means he should usually be ready to jumpup. |
