I have a dark elf team with two AG5-players getting their 5th skill, and I could use some advice.
The skill-guide on Fumbbl suggests pass block or strip ball for dark elves with AG5 and leap, but are those skills better than the normal skills like side step (have 3 of those already) or tackle (have 3 of those already)?
I'm playing in a bash-heavy league with 14 teams and only one team is passing regularly, so maybe pass block is a waste?
The teams are developed around 1700-2000 TV, so most teams have one or more players with sure hands. But still maybe one strip ball on a leaping AG5 elf would be nice, as I don't have any strip ball players at the moment (the former died).
My 2 players:
Witch elf - block, +AG, leap, side step, new normal skill
Lineman - block, dodge, +AG, leap, new normal skill
The rest of the team:
Witch elf - block, tackle
Blitzer - dodge, guard, side step, tackle
Blitzer - dodge, side step, tackle, diving tackle
Blitzer - dodge
Blitzer - (no skills)
Lineman - wrestle
Lineman - guard
Lineman - kick
Lineman - dirty player
Which normal skill would you give my 2 AG5-players?
Thanks |

Hi Ballcrusher!
It depends of the other teams.
I would choose strip ball for the lineman (but if other teams ball carriers have sure hand, it's not good)
I would choose tackle for the witch elf (but if other teams ball carrier don't have dodge, since you already have 3 tackles, it's not good too).
In these cases I would take side step on the 2 players.
If opposing teams have a lot of 4+ strengh players, dauntless on the witch is good too. |

Sorry, it is not a Fumbbl team, but a league with friends |

One of them needs sure hands. Leap, AG5, sure hands is a great way to scoop up loose balls.
It's a shame one of them doesn't have wrestle as then that'd combine brilliantly with strip ball.
I would probably go with sure hands on the lineman and tackle on the witch elf. That gives you a ball carrier (you don't seem to have one) who can retrieve a loose ball and a cage breaker (albeit a slightly risky one) where the sideline isn't a huge threat (side step). |

Tackle on the Witch Elf, Sure Hands on the Lineman. |

Give the lino sure hands for ball security on offense and as a player to get the ball that's popped loose on defense
I think Diving Tackle will work out nicely on your Witch |

Tackle on Witch Elf, either Sure Hands or Side Step on the Lineman. |

I'd take strip ball on one of them, probably the witch since frenzy potentially gives you two tries. Remember, having strip ball is a threat by itself, you don't even have to actually use it. And then sure hands on the lineman to recover the ball once it's loose. |

At that TV almost every team has a Sure Hands player, making Strip Ball useless.
Tackle is clearly better, and improves the chances of -2d blitz on Dodge ball carrier. |

Frenzy makes no difference with strip ball because a both down doesn’t work with frenzy or strip ball. Also a push works with both frenzy and strip ball |

Dauntless or Pro or Wrestle on the witch, as you have enough tacklers.
Sure hands or Sidestep on the lino should work.
You lack a leaping Guard to pop balls.
Elite team, btw. |

It totally depends on the other teams.
For the lineman i'd be looking at sure hands, both for ball recovery and also as BC and possible thrower on offense.
For the witch, SO many cool options. As a surf machine that almost no one is safe from, dauntless and juggernaut appeal. So does tackle. Strip ball is never a bad skill to take, pass block always is. |
